There is crime and drugs everywhere. Butler is just like any other city.

No. No it's not. Grew up in Philly so I'm not a small town local yocal like many around here and the amount of junkies I see on a day to day basis and the drugs being sold out in public like the parks off Cunningham street are not like any other city with the size of Butler.

It took 6 months for a crack house to get shut down in my neighborhood and it wasn't hidden it couldn't been more known if you put a sign that said Crack House in the front lawn. Which by the way was the Cops suggestion when I spoke to them about it. He said it would embarass them. LOL this is the Barney Fife style of policing for a town like Mayberry however Butler isn't Mayberry. LOL Embarass a crack head..seriously?

Butler is a good ole boy town with the people who make the decisions don't have to deal with the day to day issues of the city. They go to thier million dollar ball park drink it up, talk about the good old days and still think Butler is that same old town. The Police are more concerned with DUI's than actually fighting crime. Instead of doing real Police work they choose to arrest when convinient.

Only positive of Butler is that it isn't a violent city. Surprising for the amount of drugs but there isn't a time I actually fear for my safety as I did in certain neighborhoods in Philly.

How about "frinancial"? I'm pretty sure that even with limited education that's not how it's spelled.It doesn't matter because it's simple forum rules 101, when all else fails in an argument or your mocked look for grammatical errors in someone's post.

I'd say there is more of a chance of my education level being incorrectly diagnosed from some silly post on a forum, than your belief that you'll find proper medical advise for cancer.

It's pretty basic the County Of Butler offers the finest entitlements you can find, free meals from the SA and free dinner from a host of churches, add that to the food stamps and free housing not to mention the free phones what more could you want.True they are loser scumbags but they are smart enough to play the system

well I feel that instead of complaining, get out and do something about it. Butler is like any other small town. they have here faults. and have their drug problems. and the only way to fix it is t do something about it. not just talking about it. and you are right. if the cops would fight crime instead of chasing DUI's, the crime rate would drop more then what it is..............

This town has too small of a police force to make a dent in the problem. I know some policemen here. Great guys that are up to thier ears in paperwork. We need more officers.

Police will attempt to solve a crime after it has been committed and yes do the paperwork required for prosecution if an arrest is made. Unless police observe a driving infraction the chances of catching a crime in progress is very rare no matter how many police the taxpayers put in the street.Besides that, going to jail isn't much of a deterrent anyhow for most of these "gangsters". It is the social problems that create the criminal in the first place that need repaired.
