While their at it why not also slaughter dogs and cats? In some parts of the world they are consumed, and there would be a place for them to go when humans couldn't afford to feed them, not to mention taking a load off of the ASPCA.

no horse slaughtering plant for here please. rumor is there is a spring close by the proposed location that is the main headwaters for our local waterways. we do not need the runoff from that slaughterplant going into our water.

Evidently people of Missouri are not 100% for it. There are already 2 posters that are against it. Why doesn't Unified Equine slaughter horses in Wyoming where they are located? Probably because chief exucitive officer Sue Wallis is a state legislater in Wyoming and couldn't get reelected if she proposed that idea in her home state.

I typed in Unified Equine into my search engine and couldn't find out much about it. When I clicked on Mtn. Grove feasibility study facts all I got was. "we're sorry, that page was not found, error 404". I wonder what they're trying to hide? Probably a lot since there's a politican involved!

Why not build it in Wyoming? 100% of the people are for it.

Nothing wrong with butchering horses. If you don't want any don't buy any. We need jobs and growth in this area, I am for anything that breaks the good old boy strangle hold on the economy here.

They floated the idea in one town in WY and had a poll in a local paper. Close to 70% of people were opposed to it. I don't know what happened to the plan after that.

Bottom line is no one wants one of these hellholes in their backyard.

Let them build, that means jobs, but i guess you lazy ass people don't want them, you just reather sit around and bitch all day about not having a job then when one is just about to open up you say no. How are you going to have anything if you don't work for it. Oh I forgot you think that you should just have everything given to you. Just think what your kids think of your lazy ass not working. Any excuss is better then non.

I have a job! I have always had one! I have worked hard for every thing I have! You are assuming too much just like the lady legislater from Wyoming when she says 100% of the people are behind it! I'm also going to assume something. I'm assuming that you own a cut rate sale barn that can't make it selling cattle, so your going to push a horse slaughter house on people who don't want it! Why hasn't that feasibility study been made public? Why doesn't Unified Equine have it posted on their web site? Why can't you find out any thing about it? I know the answers and so do you. It's because no one wants it! Your the one looking for a hand out. A hand out that only benfits yourself! Jobs that will most likely be taken by illegals! People that are looking for a hand out will still have their hand out! People that are in the working class have a job! Just what the people want, another stinking ass plant in their neighborhood! NOT!!!!!!!

You are trying to play mind games here without any ammo. I'm assuming you are a Republican, like the lady legislator, and just like the debates, all you can do is bad mouth!!!!!!!!

All of my post had been made without reading this. Seems my common sense is right on. You can't argue the facts! Of course greed always out weighs common sense, but lets hope it doesn't happen here and ruin our beautiful Ozark cities. Do we want to be known as the cities with the horse slaughtering facility? I can hear people say, "Cabool, Mtn. Grove, that's where the horse slaughtering plant is".

No when people hear Mtn. Grove they think of Topix, since it was on the news for so many hits on topix. We need the jobs, there are people willing to do the job and not grip about it. If people want to keep their homes they have to have a job, there arent to many around here now, this would help. There are bad thngs that come with every facility no way to get around it. Just have to see what happeneds. WE NEED THE JOBS! Thats enough for me.

I personally own horses in mtn grove the slaughter house is a GREAT idea horses are not pets they are considered livestock look at your personal property tax forms. If you were to read the back of a tube of horse wormer or any other equine medication it says do not use on horses intended for food. the horse market is completly gone you cant make any money on horses that are actually worth something. horse neglect is a huge problem if a slaughter plant is easily available rather than letting that horse starve i would rather it be slaughtered. lame, blind, or old horses are a burden on almost every horse owner. get rid of the horses that are "hayburners" would help the horse market and make it what it used to be
