After weeks of study on this heart stent-plavix-statins I have come to this conclusion. First is terror these doctors and drug companies have created in their patients with the use of these 3 things. Seems to me the first mistake was the use of stents to start with. Then came the use of these killer drugs to cover their error. One fact remains perfectly clear in this sea of botched studies and politics; the drug companies control the doctors, hospitals and most of us. We are all here searching for answers neither of these are giving us. By sharing our information perhaps we may find a way to get through this. My personal situation is ona des implanted 1-15-13. prescribed plavix aspirin and statins maybe for a year maybe for life(ever heard that before?) I took 2 statins before doing homework on them and then took no more. Have had stomach pains etc. I think caused by the plavix since then. I have started cuttig the 75mg plavix in half and will now start skipping a day and gradually ween off this rat poison. Then I plan to take 3 81gm coated aspirin every 8 hours. Hopefully my plan will work. If not at least I did what I thought was right not what the big pharma wanted me to do. Good luck folks, Lets help each other

DONT BE AFRAID TO TRY GETTING OFF THIS RAT POISON AND JUST USING ASPIRIN! JUST YESTERDAY I WAS TALKING TO A LONG TIME FRIEND WHO HAD A "HEART TRANSPLANT" OVER 10 YEARS AGO. I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY SIDE EFFECTS WITH PLAVIX ASSUMING HE TOO HAD BEEN ON IT FOR MANY YEARS, TO WHICH HE SAID HED NEVER BEEN ON ANY BLOOD THINNER BUT ONE ADULT ASPIRIN A DAY SINCE HIS TRANSPLANT! THIS IS A 3 PART TRAP. STENT-PLAVIX-STATINS. WE MAY NOT CAN DO MUCH ABOUT THE STENT BUT WE SURE CAN LISTEN TO OUR BODIES AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE OTHER TWO.

My husband had a heart attack and following a stent being fitted, a minor stroke in October 2012. He was put on clopidogrel, (plavix), warfarin, and aspirin and immediately started bleeding from the rectum and the nose. He was taken off the aspirin and this helped, but occasionally he would bleed from these areas. He has been anaemic since his heart attack and has looked pale. He has had circulation problems, chilblains and suffered raynaud syndrome. His appetite has been suppressed and food tasted strange. If he walked anywhere his hips started to ache and generally he felt unwell. On 1st April he started talking gibberish and was finding walking difficult. His eyes looked terrible. I took him to hospital on 3rd April where they informed me that he had a cerebral bleed to the left side of his brain caused solely by clopidogrel. Unbeknown to us you have to be weaned off this drug, which took 12 days before he could have the operation to evacuate the bleed from his brain, otherwise he could have bled to death. At no time were we informed that you can suffer gastrointestinal or cerebral bleeds or that you have to be weaned off this appalling drug. You are supposed to notify your doctor as soon as you start bleeding. This is impossible if you have a cerebral bleed as my husband found out as he had no idea that there was anything wrong with him. My husband is now out of hospital after three weeks. He has lost an awful lot of weight and is extremely emotional and depressed. His confidence is at a low ebb and has absolutely no faith in the medical profession at all. He is finding everyday tasks quite arduous and this is from a man who was once a finance director. Quite honestly I do not know how this drug has been passed fit for human use. The one thing I can tell you is he feels so much better for being off clopidogel and has started enjoying food again. It is early days and I am hoping that the future is going to be better than the last seven months. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what we have been through

Cardiologist are like the mental health industry in Australia and worldwide..full of crap. They are rectal lickers for the pharmaceutical industry and are concern only about kickbacks on nasty drugs like the Statin drugs, plavix and metropolol.

Garlic, Niacin, Hawthorne Berries and COq10, potassium and Magnesium is all I need plus a little vitamin E .

I have used http://qgeneric.info/#zzhk for about 3 years and find their products to be reliable and speedily delivered. The Support team are very promt and helpful in solving any issues that arise, caused by my errors not the company's. I was a little sceptical initially about buying generic products rather than brand names. However, the Mens' Health products I have bought have been equally as efficatious as the brand names at a fraction of the cost.

Are these Plavix side affects?

In 2002 I had a LAD stent placed in my left anterior descending artery, have been taking plavix and baby asprin ever since. I now notice I get bruises without even knowing how they got there. I'd like to get off the plavix but not sure how to do it safely. Also read a comment referring to the LAD as a widow maker; is this a bad type of stent to have? Anyone with any knowledge on the above would be much appreciated.

Hello, I am a consulting nutritionist and currently manage 47 patients.

Regarding Plavix, this drug is not only less effective than aspirin, but the sole reason it is perpetuated is profit based. Money is being made off of your suffering, period. Unfortunately, that is the type of care you can expect under predatory capitalism. You are a source of income for big pharma, like cattle.

Doctors in the U.S. are nothing more than drug dealers in white coats. They are funded by big pharma, their protocols are written by big pharma, their professors in med school receive money from big pharma. Anybody here know about the 200+ harvard med students that are protesting? Because of their professors direct ties to the pharmaceutical industry. The only thing American doctors know is what they're taught, radiation and pharmaceuticals. American doctors treat symptoms, they never, ever address the root cause - diet and lifestyle.

There is no such thing as a healthy person with a disease. It takes years of abuse to make your body develop any disease, once you have one, it will take years to heal yourself - but you CAN heal yourself. Fresh organic vegetable juices and a strict organic vegetarian diet. The Gerson Therapy can heal every single one of you. Do your research.

The reason why all of you have such weak hearts is because you DO NOT take care of yourself. Take personal responsibility for the hole you dug, and fill it back up. Stop blaming genetics. Even if someone is genetically predisposed to a certain disease, they'd still have to abuse their body to cultivate that disease. Healthy people do not cultivate diseases.

Both sides of my family are notorious for diabetes and coronary artery disease. My father had 2 heart attacks by age 40, his father died of a heart attack at 43, and his brother is in horrible shape as well. My mother had type 2 diabetes and hypertension. Even my brother, who is only 28, has had gout and severe kidney stones. Now me, I started juicing when I was 22 (during my first semester in college), I exercise regularly, I only eat organic, grass-fed meats once in a while, and I am in excellent shape.

My blood work is perfect, no signs of anything wrong whatsoever. I haven't had so much as a cold in 3 years. My father on the other hand drank soda most of his life, drank coffee every morning for 30 years, ate meat regularly and almost never consumed raw, organic produce. The same goes for my mother. I'm sure my grandfather had a horrible diet, and I know my uncle eats crap, and my brother had a diet that consisted of typical over processed, nutritionally void food like products - the typical western diet.

There is a good side to this story, besides me, and that would be the story of me converting them into juicing, vegetable and fruit eating hippies. To sum it up, my dad has been juicing for 5 years, has stopped taking all 6 medications he had been on for decades, and is the oldest living male in his family in over 3 generations. Sadly, his brother died around the same time he began juicing and walking. My mother is completely cured of her diabetes and has lost 88 pounds and kept it off. My brother has lost 67 pounds and kept it off, and he's never been into another hospital. Not one person in my direct family is on any medications.

You are what you eat. Eat dense, nutritious food and supplement it heavily with fresh, organic juices. Stop eating processed bullshit, no flour, no meat, no sugar, and no added salts. Health is a result of consistency. Research The Gerson Therapy, its not just for cancer, but for ALL disease. I have personally cured 31 people of everything from tuberculosis (skin and pulmonary), eczema, diabetes type 1 and 2, chronic head aches, post surgery swelling and more. I did this all with organic, natural cures. Sometimes it takes 2 years of consistency before a disease is cured, but once its cured, its gone.

Pharmaceuticals do nothing but treat symptoms, at best. At worst, they kill you. Over 106,000 people die every year due solely to negative side effects of drugs. That is not counting over doses, that is 106,000 people dieing from properly prescribed medication taken in proper doses. Pharmaceuticals never, ever address the cause of your disease. Why would big pharma want to cure anything? They don't make billions every year by curing disease, they make money by "managing" disease so you can live with it. At least long enough to suck your bank account dry.

How many people die from consuming large amounts of organic produce? Zero. How many people have been healed by organic juices? Thousands and counting.

Do your homework people and do not trust any government website, the FDA, or any white coat that says "drugs are good."

When Plavix first came out they called it "The Super Aspirin"...there are also many lawsuits against Plavix...in Cook County alone 10 people have died with a direct relation to Plavix. Doctors do not get any commission when they prescribe taking aspirin alone.
Also doctors do not do there homework..when it comes to side effects. They dont tell you about muscle loss..or weakness...or hair loss..fatigue or constipation..sleeplessness... the FDA has approved hundreds of things that are banned in other countries.

Recently, my mother suffered a minor stroke (TIA) and even though there was no evidence of an actual blood clot, she was prescribed the blood thinner, Plavix. Two weeks later, she suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. Unable to clot, she suffered severe bleeding in her brain.
Ironically, her attempt to prevent a stroke (no evidence of blood clot found) has left her paralyzed on the right side and is unable to speak. My dad opposed the use of Plavix from the start, but my mom trusted her doctor and didn't listen. Prognosis of long term care is likely, but her insurance only covers the first 2 weeks in a rehabilitation facility (nursing home). After 2 wks, if she does not continue to improve every day, then her insurance will stop and we will have to pay out of pocket in order to receive further care. At $350.00 a day, or $10,000 a month, I believe its "safe to say" that taking Plavix is a very serious decision and knowledge of risk factors is power. In my opinion, its irresponsible to judge one "isolated" case, without considering the fact that too many victims and families are suffering the consequences of taking Plavix, which often seems to be prescribed for preventative measures. The severity of the risk factors, in my opinion, come with devastating and irreversible consequences.

I was on Plavix for a couple years. Stopped abruptly and started taking 81 aspirin. No problems at all.
I have 2 stents in my legs and 2 in my renal arteries.
Plus I had AAA surgery.
I have a stent in my carotid also.

I discontinued taking Plavix 6 months after a DES stent.(My cardiologist wanted me to take it for 2 years) After doing months of research I came to the conclusion that it was safe for me to do so. In addition to stopping Plavix I also stopped taking Simvastatin, Metoprolol, and aspirin. The only thing that I take now is Omega 3 and a multivitamin. I became a vegan and eat a very strict Ornish diet. My LDL is 70, no drugs. My BP is 110/70, no drugs. 10 months have passed since I stopped and I've had no problems. I was reading of another individual with a similar situation to mine and he's doing OK too, but he stopped 2 years ago. It is my opinion that millions of people now taking Plavix don't actually need it. I read of several studies recently published showing that Plavix after 6 months post stent (bare and DES)is of no use. When I discontinued the Plavix I did so slowly. First skipping doses. Cutting them in half, then quarters.

Hi! Do you know why you start having problems again after 3 years?

Is it because of the type of food you eat and long-term effects from the drugs ("medication")?
