As a former resident of Rockford, I can sympathize with the kids wanting to "belong" to something like a gang for something to do, but it's really a worthless activity. I would go to my school counselor and ask for help trying to get a scholarship for a college instead. You're 18 now, but someday you'll be 40 and no gang will want you.
