You people are priceless...
Not only is it not harmful to smoke pot, it is ok to grow and distribute?

Who cares if my little kids teacher fornicates with prostitutes?

Knowing my childs teachers hands were on (and probably in) a disease infested whore 12 hrs before class is troubling. I sure hope he washed his hands well afterwards.

Maybe we should take a small area like Rhode Island and let you guys do as you wish, no laws.

Oy, yeah, that was tried before, twice.

I think they called it Sodom and Gomorrah

<quoted text>Hey Pete. Do you have a copy of the arrest warrant? Do you have some privileged information that tells you that he should be only charged with a misdemeanor? How about we wait and see exactly what he has done. It's a shame this guy is going to lose his career because he couldn't get some without paying for it. That alone says looser.
And for those that think hooking is hurting no one: Where there is a hooker, there are drugs. Where there are drugs, there are guns. Where there are guns, people get hurt.
Hookers aren't just used for sex, there's usually a whole lot more to it than that.

There is no doubt that prostitution is more complicated here than it is at the Mustang Ranch. Here it usually involves woman hooked on crack who have no alternative but to do it for the man they "love." It is disgraceful. On the other hand beating up on the johns is just as useless as beating up on the hookers. You have to get the pimps and the crack dealers, they are the nasty ones making the money on the whole operation.

I believe my initial comment was that IF this is just a typical hooker/john deal I want to know why this guy is charged with a felony and almost everyone else arrested in similar situations for decades has been charged with misdemeanors. I hope it is not just because he is a teacher.

One possibility is that he was not negotiating with a decoy/hooker and he got caught in the act so to speak. That would be different than the usual john/decoy situation.

I was thinking the same thing. My thought was that he was more than ready when the decoy arrived to formalize the deal. No matter. His days of teaching are over.

There are two different headlines from WOOD. One says he solicited prostitute and the other says he was caught with a prostitute. That is causing confusion. I have never seen soliciting a decoy be charged as a felony. If he was caught being serviced so to speak in his car, as commonly occurs, that would probably be charged as Gross Indecency. On the other hand when cops catch kids in the same or similar situation at Johnson Park the usually do not get charged with Gross Indecency.

It appears that he was caught in the act with a real hooker, not a decoy. That would explain the charge. And rightly so. She was also given the same charges.
Dose the term: "Get a room" mean anything to anyone? The fact that he was caught in a car strenghtens the "Looser" label.

Also the fact that there are parents that are supporting him is just disturbing.

Are they days of role models over? We are talking about a teacher of adolescents here, when their character and principles are just forming. We are talking about the future of America. Yes, teachers and coaches and all those working with the youth of the country should be held to a higher standard. That is not to say that the laws should be any different for them, but their standards should be exemplary. Even if he worked only with special needs kids the rest of the student population is exposed to him while he is on campus. We need to sort out the wheat from the chaff when we put the future of our children in their hands. How else can we expect the kids to develop good morals and high principles if not by example?

Here she is, consecutive numbers in court and same crime, same day.

She is a 3 time loser on prostitution here, lives in the first block off Division. Wonder who the pimp is? Apparently she has not rolled on him yet, maybe this time since she is looking at a felony.

For a hooker around here that is pretty good, plus she's not a guy in drag, that is always a downer.
