The difference is when Gas prices went up, President Bush did somethng about it. Presidet Obama prays to Allah for a solution, and Allah isn't listening.
So now we have the god-beings of different religions to blame for gas prices going up?
Hurry up and pray a big one to your god-being. Maybe it can intervene and bring them back down. You might have to pray to the mormon god-being as that's the one who may be running the country next if Romney wins.

President Obama's claim during Tuesday's debate that gas prices have doubled since 2008 because the economy was collapsing four years ago -- and the implication that they are higher now because things are better -- left some experts scratching their heads.

Indeed, gas prices plummeted during the heart of the 2007-2009 recession. After hitting a peak of $4.17 a gallon in July 2008, the average gasoline price plunged by 60 percent in less than six months before bottoming out at $1.67 by the end of December, a month before Obama took office, according to the Department of Energy.

Since then, the price has steadily climbed back to slightly under peak 2008 levels, with the most recent national average at $3.89.

Even so, if debate viewers had a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea that bad times mean low prices and vice versa, so did some folks who make a living studying such things.

“The president appears to believe that the more than doubling of the price of gasoline since 2009 is an indicator of growth in the economy."," Jonathan Lesser, an energy economist and president of the consulting firm Continental Economics, told FoxNews.com .

Obama's theory is based on the assumption that an improved economy boosts demand and, with it, prices. The problem is, consumption has trended steadily downward since 2009, which the Energy Department attributes to the higher prices, economic conditions and more efficient vehicles. That means other factors are sending the per-gallon price upward, Lesser said.

“Is economic growth driving higher gasoline prices?" Lesser said. "No."

Notice how all of sudden Wall Street earnings are falling. Notice the spike in gas. The Republicans and their investor friends are trying very hard to make the economy look like it's not doing so well all of sudden. Consumer sentiment is way up. President Obama or someone from the DNC should visit the Sensata facility in Freeport, IL. Bain Capital just purchase it and now are putting workers out of job and sending the company to China. What better golden goose of an opportunity to let the American people what is waiting with a vote for Romney than that? Wake up Dems.

Like so many other men from the same party. but they pass the laws to artificially produce...whatever! Oh well. the economy is coming back to earth now. And the higher IQ's who are unemployed are finally starting to figure it out.

I don't trust the judgment of people that would be willing to even think of voting for a Republican again. I mean, 8 years of Bush running our country down to ground zero, the Iraq War, couldn't find Bin Laden's dog, let alone Bin Laden. I mean, people must certainly LOVE abuse. You know why Republicans send jobs away to China, they KNOW that some people are stupid. Hell, Republicans wouldn't vote for Republicans again. However, if these corporations do have to pay someone for their labor, they don't want to pay top dollar for stupidity. That's why jobs will going to China. The American people are letting the GOP know how dumb they really are.

YOu have got to be kidding me. When Bush was in office, China was building cities of empty buildings for companies to move to. That is how much work was leaving this country. I lost my job with Bush in office. Our company started doing business in China. Well then Obama became President. I got my job back and it is the Auto industry. I wouldn't be working if there would have been a Republican President. Right now we are working tons of over time and no 40 hour insight. Our CEO said that the economy is getting better a couple of months ago. Just this week, I heard that we are getting more and more work. It is just a matter of time before we start seeing real improvement in our economy as a whole, unless we have Romey as President. The more money we get, the more we buy and then someone has a job to make it and it goes on and on. We had 20 years of Republicans Presidents since Reagan. 8 years of Democrats, if the Republicans are so good why am I doing worse than before Reagan became President.
Obama/Biden 2012 to keep the middle class moving up.
You have given me something to think about, I do not know if you are kidding or if you are that stupid. Over the last four years the middle class has lost more ground than at any time in the last 35 years. The so called big three auto makers suffer because they got use to making crap cars. The Asians taught us how to build engines with close tolerance, this is why you can no longer find 10w40 oil and most cars now use 5W20 or 5W30 oil. First Toyota kicked the so called American Big Three auto makers asses and now the Koreans are building cars with much better warranty, gas mileage and quality. You talk about getting your job back? What do you do? Are you directly in the auto industry or are you in a company that supports the industry. In the past 20 years I have NOT owned one American car and only two American Trucks as tow vehicles for my racecar. Today I own a Hyundai Elantra, a Mazda5 and a Nissan Truck and one ford F-350 that tows a trailer.
