I am delegate at the GOP convention this weekend in Lansing. I am also a precinct delegate, I am sure I will be talking to them all.

Keep us posted Larry. I'm interested to see what Ms. Land has in mind when it comes to improving this state.

I personally would be much more interested in Land than I would be Hoekstra. If Hoekstra runs for Gov I will NOT be voting for him.

As much of a Democrat as I am, I would actually be interested to see what Land has to offer. I can't support Granholm anymore, I really can't. She hasn't done a thing for me or really anyone in this state since taking office. I would like to see a change...and the dem people thinking about running office? Doesn't look too promising...maybe I'm turning into a Lou Dobbs Independent...

Why do you say that? I haven't heard one word out of her regarding what she would do in that position. Do you know something the rest of us don't?

I'm trying to reserve judgement of both/all candidates until I hear what they stand for GOP, Dem or neither.

I need to know her core beliefs. She needs to be instinctively Conservative in her beliefs so she doesn't waiver on principle. I will be watching for details.

Administratively, she has done good for the SOS in automating the system. Not happy about giving illegals drivers licenses.

I agree. She owns that slum called York Creek which has become a haven for the most violent of criminals. Who knows how many illegal aliens are also being harbored in there. It's just awful. I would never vote for Land.

What a beautiful thought, to have the rest of the state agencies run as smoooothly as the one she controls now...give me a break! Anyone else share these sentiments or have I been singled out?

For myself, I think Mike Cox, our State Attorney General would make an excellent candidate! No nonsense kind of guy.

Wasn't he the guy who was involved with Fieger and all that shady stuff about an affair and blackmail and all the rest? It seemed like quite a sordid tale, I am not too sure I would vote for Cox.

I'm not sure Olivia, but I'll research it! Lets face it all of em have sordid backgrounds, they just keep it out of the press.
