Can anyone tell me why it seems like the only thing that this town has to do is dig up dirt and nibshit in other peoples business? You people in this town realy need to get a life and stop butting in others. This town has to be a breed of its own! Im not from here thank god and your not going to rub off on me either. You people get a kick out of lying,gossiping,and spreading shit around town about people thats not true. What kind of human being does that shit? So Byrdstown get off the drugs go to work and get a life and stop trying to take other peoples!!

Well tammy unlike you one of the nibshiters told me to get on topix and just see how this town operates. And there right its all gossip and lies and nibshiters talking about other peoples lives that they know nothing about. But I bet I could ask you anything and you would know cause your one of them to right?

I agree with you on one point there is way too many people gettin into other people's business.However we don't need another smart a** from out of the county coming in here thinkin since they bought a piece of property that gives them the right to tell the residents that are born and raised here what they are doin wrong.The last time I checked the road leads both ways so if you are so down on this town try the other way because we don't need or want out-of-towners coming in thinking that they are going to be the savior for everyone.

also mr. nibbie, pickett co. is the poorest co.in tn. the next town over (livingston)has had at least 4 suicides within the last 2 weeks.one age14 one 19 and two older men,. just what i know about, maybe if they had been on Topix, gossiping, might of kept em going a while longer. the ppl. in Btown.may do alittle gossiping noone pays any attn. if we all had choices im sure we would be doing something else.

I am old have been to many places and seen many things, I concluded many years ago the world thrives on gossip,it is everywhere,any town, city,country and comes in every language it is part of life.

gossiping is theraputic. most of the ppl. who talk about you would give you a hand if needed,right here in Btown. Ppl. from elsewhere dont know what its like to survive in a small town with nothing there.

This is typical...someone voices a sane opinion and everyone gets in a tissy!!!!! In several years, god willing, things around here will change, oh yes they will change and those of you that have been born and raised here will be the ones to suffer. You people like to talk trash about the lack of jobs, the drugs, the outsiders as you call them, but the truth is...you like it that way!!! If you didn't it would change. You like the fact that theres no law enforcement, you like the fact that there are no jobs, you like the fact that anyone who wasn't born here is taboo, all y'all like it!!!! In case you didn't know and most of you don't, the world it is a changin. And someday that change is going to trickle down to little o Byrdstown, and then you people will have real reality smack you in the face!!!!!! It wont be the lifers that make it it will be the outsiders and transplants as you call them. God I hope I'm around to see that!!!!

i agree with learning 100% this town thrives on outsiders to boost there profits and sales. They also rely on us to by there realastate, if it werent for us this town would be alot worse. And now you want us to go back where we came from and talk trash obout us,lie,gossip and nibshit to get us out of this town now that sounds kinda stupid to me. There are jobs out there if you want them there would be even more if you people would let some change come in this town!!!!!

Excellent points Fedup. I'm a local but I am smart enough to know that it it wasn't for the "outsiders" moving in here and bringing their bank accounts little ole Byrdstown would be in bigger trouble than it is already. The outsiders come here and try to breath life into things here because they love living here in this beautiful area. I have talked to so many of those that have moved here and all they want to do is to help this community that they have chosen as their new homes. Strange thing is, and sad too, the outsiders are the ones that talk about how wonderful this place is. Its the locals that I talk too that slam the outsiders and think that they are trying to come in here and change everything. That is not the case. The outsiders love this place for the small town/county that it is. They would to be a part of the community but the flack that they get from the locals on venues like Topix and other means is very discouraging. Seriously step back and think about it. Take all the outsiders out of our county and what would be left? Talk to your realtors and your business owners and find out what they think this county would be like without them. Open your minds, eyes and then your hearts to the "outsiders" that have come here to share your community.

great point RWE but getting these people to relize tis is empossible to do. They will make life here hell for you by gossiping about you to the reast of the town. They sit at the shell and wait till you pull up and rumors start to fly, weather there true or not, worst part about it to is they dont care who they hurt in the prosses. It realy is a shame how people could be so mean and crule to other people they sure werent raised up north thats for sure. Alot of these people down here would get along with each other if they would just keep there commeents and lies to there self and not on topix or at the shell and where ever else they do it.
