the author of this piece is undoubtely peddling falsehood.On advise from the joint services was decided that brush and vegetation would be cleared in the backlands from Enmore to Beterverwagting in order to maintain the clear line of sight.This is in no way intended to affect a particular village as some may want to think.It is imoportant for vegetation to be moved as to improve the security and safety of the joint services and residents of the affected areas.It is very important to note that the PPP government has decided and has begun to provide compensation for those ligitimate farmers that would be affected.Com pensation would be of a monetary nature.A special desk has been establish at the office of police headquarters to accept these claims.

It is obvious to me that there is a heightened sabotage against the country on the internet.
Mostly negative things are being written, which is aimed in my view to keep foreigners and even Guyanese from investing in the country. On another thread I mentioned it is the compensation of the farmers that should be the issue and not the destruction of farmlands.

Jack it is so nice to hear from you. I know what moving is and computer connections.
I can only say that I’m disappointed in my fellow Guyanese in this day and age they are still dividing the country racially.
Speaking out against some actions undertaken by the present regime I’m all for but to define it racially is just not done. Thrashing the country on the internet for all to read is extremely short sighted it will have a long term effect on the country no matter which regime take over in the future. In any case I’m completely cured from any longing to return to Guyana.

I’m investigating Panama, I like the fact that they are racially diverse, great weather, affordable living conditions, beautiful beaches, mountains and forests.
I should emigrate there this year, maybe as soon as June/ July.
