Red Springs man says he was cut

RED SPRINGS - A Red Springs man said that he was cut in the stomach on Sunday by a man he knows, according to a sheriff's report.

Allan Locklear, 32, of Flat Rock Road, said the man came to his house and began beating on his door. Locklear said he opened the door and he was cut following an argument. The report didn't indicate whether or not Locklear required medical attention.

Fairmont woman reports dog theft

FAIRMONT - Annie Porter, 25, of Peace Street, reported Saturday that someone stole her pit bull.

She valued it at $125.

Glass door broken in house shooting

PEMBROKE - A Pembroke man reported on Saturday that someone shot at his house from a vehicle, according to a sheriff's report.

Dwayne Earles, 45, of Locklear Road, said he heard gunfire at 4:30 a.m., looked out a window and saw a vehicle with its headlights out driving away. A glass door was shattered and damage was estimated at $200.

Pit bull stolen from residence

LUMBERTON - Christine Godwin, 18, of Porter Drive, reported her pit bull was stolen on Saturday. The dog was valued at $100.

Property stolen from mobile home

LUMBERTON - Thomas Edwards, 42, of Lovette Road, reported Saturday that someone broke into an unoccupied mobile home that he owns and stole $2,500 in property, according to a sheriff's report.

Among the items stolen were a glider swing, two filing cabinets, and $2,000 in assorted DVDs and a VCR.

Assault victim files report

LUMBERTON - Lorraine Gonzalez, 43, of Odum Street, told a deputy that she was assaulted Friday by a man she knows, according to a sheriff's report.

Gonzalez said the man knocked her to the ground and choked her. The report didn't indicate whether Gonzalez was taken to a hospital.

Man arrested on cocaine charge

RED SPRINGS - Patrick Woods, 21, of 73 Flat Rock Road, Red Springs, was arrested Sunday and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.

Unwelcome guests shoot house

PEMBROKE - A Pembroke woman and her daughter reported earlier Saturday that two men shot up their house after they refused to let them in, according to a sheriff's report.

No one was hurt. Glenda Chavis and her daughter live on University Road.

The shooting caused $400 in damages.

Teen charged with larceny of firearm

PEMBROKE - Whitney Locklear, 19, of 17 Locklear Drive, Pembroke, was arrested Saturday and charged with larceny of a firearm.

Locklear was jailed under a $1,000 bond.
