Butte Falls Fish Hatchery Finds Cash to Stay Open
The Butte Falls Hatchery in southwestern Oregon will not be closing after all. Located high in the Cascade Range community of Butte Falls outside Medford, the 94-year-old hatchery was slated for closure last April as part of a 30-percent cut in the budget of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

I am happy to hear that the hatchery will remain
open. Thank the Lord Jesus Christ that the fish
will remain healthy and happy for all of us to
enjoy. It is truly a miracle sent from heaven.

I'll be happy to catch the happy fish and fry them in my skillet!

Ive lived in Butte Falls eight years now and my daughter and all her friends have enjoyed many a season at the fish hatchery. We all are happy that we will get another year to spend fishing and visiting with our neighbors and friends.
