Embezzling priest won't report today for 37-month prison term

A day before a Catholic priest convicted of stealing $1 million from his Darien church was to report to prison, a federal judge granted him a third delay.

I don't know if I'm more disenchanted with the Catholic Church or our alledged justice system. I can't imagine that anyone else would get away with this crap. Enough is enough. If you do the crime, you have to put in the time! He should be in JAIL NOW!

Gee Whiz.....Will the court please submit to "the people" the list of folks who have postponed their jail sentences....their particular crimes....and punishment? We would like to know the criteria on which these decisions are based....for further reference of course.Could it possibly be a "short list" that reads something like this:

They should only allow an extension if he makes his boyfriend that Owns half the condo, sign it over to the church. At least the parishioners and their church will see some restitution. I cannot believe the church is left with it's hands tied because his boyfriend is "co-owner", which is such a load of BS!!
