What this county needs to do is get rid of assistant district attorney Patricia McClane. She gets off on putting people in jail.

If anyone needs a reason to get rid of that scumbag shaffer they should just look back at the case of Steven Vogt about 21 years ago. Before Billy the kid was a judge he put away a local boy who was out partying at a pond like many Butler County youths do while another dirtbag got the kids alcohol and other things and ended up dead. Shaffer withheld evidence that would have sprung the boy but he was more concerned with his personal quota and becoming a judge. That boy is now 40 and is still sitting in the state penn as a result of the notch on billy's belt. Some of these statements are my opinions, you should research this incident to see the clear evidence that shows shaffer shouldn't even be allowed to manage a department store let alone judge our citizens.

No problem believing that, Real Deal. These small town hypocrites make an absolute mockery of justice. Most of what one sees in Butler has much more to do with power-tripping and ego enlargement than anything bearing resemblance to equity. The bullies always walk away, and the troublemakers proliferate. Proof abounds in the downward trend that poor Butler has been on for way too long. Being a part of the power structure that enabled that steady decline is something to be ashamed of, not proud of. Judge them by their fruits.

What makes me sick to my stomach about Shaffer, is that he doesn't care about his own community, City of Butler. There is a very apparent heroin issue going on, and has been an issue for a very long time...only getting worse. Butler County is one of the most corrupt governments I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Butler county is one of the wealthiest, ever growing counties in Pennsylvania. I have never seen so misused in my life! Something really needs to be done. People who obviously have issues with addiction, are thrown in jail for months with no help. Child abusers/molesters spend nearly no time, if any. There is something very wrong here. A very close loved one of mine spent 9 months in BCP for a Disorderly Conduct. Upon review, Judge Shaffer asked who sentenced him. Said person told Judge Shaffer, he had. He completely denied it and became upset that he would be accused of giving someone such a sentence. The attorney the spoke up and told Judge Shaffer that he did indeed sentence him, following up with Judge Shaffer's signed orders. Judge Shaffer denied further, and left the bench. I was there. Unbelievable!
