Butler County Sentencing

Anyone realize that the Commonwealth Court, mainly Timothy McCune and his harsh sentencing for DUI offenders as of late? They are filling this jail with people daily for Probabtion Violations some for missing 2 AA meetings from what I heard. What is this county coming to??? I have seen people getting 18 months for a 3rd DUI, I know someone in Ohio whom has 6 and never spent a day in jail. Get with it people, and you give child molestors 11 months and 23 days sentences so they don't go up state where they will be killed.... Make the punishment fit the crime!!!

Oh yeah and how about all the new conflict of interest cases that are being heard by the attorney general from Pittsburgh because of the new DA R. Goldinger whom was a former defending attorney. They should have not heard any cases late last year and the judges and attornies should have recused themselves so people would not be punished so harshly for things that were beyond they're control... I can't believe the ACLU has not gotten involved with this yet, but I'm sure it's coming soon!!!! I personally know someone that has fallen into this trap that the system is came to, and it's totally unjust what is going on in the Butler County system right now and the judges, attornies and everyone should be ashamed of themselves... It's all about money and hemming people up to buidl they're precious new jail just to get more people incarceratted.

You want to cut people a break who are on their 3rd DUI? What is it going to take for them to stop driving drunk, killing someone? I think it is great they spend 18 months in jail. Although I'll bet they don't actaually spend that long locked up, but if they do, that's great.

A close friend of mine was seriously injured by a drunk who was previously convicted of multiple DUIs. Now she spends time in a wheel chair while the driver (who spent very little time in jail) is probably sitting at some bar getting ready to drive again.
