1 No the sad part about it is after GM cut back jobs they kept relying on GM to help them out instead of trying to diversify their economy. |

This is a mothers worst nightmare, when picking up your child. I would check into liability, due to the fact the table was not safe for children to be around it. Being a Daycare center, children should be ensured safty while being watched, which means furniture should be in safe condition. This could well be a lawsuit case. How, Tragic. My condolences to the family.

1 Our society is so sue happy. I pray the family can get over this tragic accident. ACCIDENT. |
|
Yeah, Sue happy is true, but in this case its different. A day care center is liable when a child is injured in their care. I wouldn't be surprised if charges are filed. |

Many times litigation is the only thing that will get somebody's attention and changes made. Ford would still be putting gas tanks in trunks of smaller cars if a few pinto's hadn't killed a few people and they were sued. I'm sure in this case the daycare is going to be re-evaluating the way their tables are secured whether there is a case filed or not, BUT if there is, it might just cause all the other daycare centers to check theirs BEFORE another accident. |
|
I just can't even imagine...My thoughts and prayers are with this family and the Daycare provider. What a nightmare!

JEzz that's such sad story, don't these companies know its their repsonsibility to make sure everything in the playing area is safe & secure and also put where it needs to be.
I don't think that it was the boys fault although he did bump the table he's a little kid for pete sakes , take responsibility for the situation ( the company) of the child care center. |

My heart and prayer go out to this childs family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

on the news they said that it was a table that has a lock when it is put into the wall, I know for a fact that at my children's elementary one of those same tables did the same thing only right after the janitor had just locked it, the lock malfunctioned, does anyone ever believe something can truly be what they call a ACCIDENT. The fact that a small innocent child who's 3rd birthday was that same day could happen to him is truly very sad. This was a church that allowed a daycare to run, who as well just had there license renewed after a inspection of the site. So why don't take a look at how all involved must feel......Instead of trying to play the blame game.... God bless the family and all who was involved in his life... |

I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes, horrible ACCIDENTS just happen and noone is to blame. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew and loved this young boy. May God be with them to help them get through their loss. |
|
Such a sad story.
Why wasn't the table fastened to the wall or why wasn't someone keeping an eye on him? Too bad the state is so broke and the politicians blaming each other for the state of the state that we can't afford more folks to monitor day-care operations. |
|
Yes, Accidents happen. There is and explaination for every accident. And reasons why it happened. If there was a lock on it. It should have been locked. Especially around children. Otherwise, if it was broken, it should have been fixed or thrown away. Childrens safety are #1 in a Daycare setting, No matter what. If the Daycare Knew about the table being broken they should have not used it to begin with. They should be held accountable. Kids safety is # 1 priority for parents and Daycare providers equally. If they knew the lock wasn't working Why Use It. Not The Best Judgement around kids. If it Malfuntions and you know about it, and kids are around, You are liable even more so than ever. This could have been prevented. And thats why there could be a lawsuit. |
