None of the candidates apparently has promised to resign from their other paid elective office. Which means the winner would become a double-dipper. That's the kind of thing DuPage Republicans like to criticize when it happens with Democrats in Cook County.

Well forget about the George Ryan retread Brien Sheahan. Republicans are still furious at him for his role in helping Andy McKenna destroy the IL GOP. Sheahan is one of the people behind the brilliant scheme to sue Republicans if Republicans vote for their own state party leaders again. So strike Sheahan, he's an embarrassment.

Cronin is worthless too. Pankau is probably the best of an otherwise bad lot.

Looking for the least bad: great post! DuPage GOP is as bad as Cook County Dems (Pate Phillip, Lee Daniels, Kirk Dillard, etc). Please don't infect the rest of the state by running for state-wide office.

The DuPage GOP is as bad as the Cook County Dems? You cannot be serious. Does DuPage County have the high tax rates of Cook County? Can you honestly equate Schillerstrom with Todd Stroger? Does DuPage County have the crime rates that Cook County and Chicago have? Are the DuPage County public schools a joke like Chicago's? How many families are moving out of DuPage County so they can live under Todd Stroger's inept rule?
