No, after the inquisition, it's obvious that the then senator was either too honest or way too smart to get caught. Blago is an arrogant crook. His rump is in the meat grinder and the switch is about to be turned on.

Like this doesn't happen a lot? Fact is, this stuff happens a lot, we know it is going to happen, and it's time to get USED to it.

Unless you are going to do what is necessary, and BAN public officials from taking ANYTHING from ANYONE (even family members).... this stuff is going to keep on going on!
That's a "period and done with" thing there.

And yet, AMAZINGLY, we still let Blago appoint Roland Burris as our new senator.

And it turns out that Burris agreed to raise money for Blago in exchange for that appointment ...

WHICH IS E X A C T L Y WHAT BLAGO NOW STANDS ACCUSED OF DOING

(only with Jesse Jackson Jr. standing in as Blago's first choice as a trading partner).

That the ex-governor delayed a $2 million state grant to a school to try to get former U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel or Emanuel's Hollywood agent brother Ari to hold a fund-raiser for him

I smell a rat. Quite a few rat's actually. Are they saying Emanuel had knowledge of the going's on in Chicago politics and didn't say anything? I'm aghast. Shocked I tell you. I hope he burns too: the cute little commie....

I hope he fries in jail for the rest of his life.. this pompous asshole will get what he deserves..hope they put him in a dark cell down the hall with a big bruiser black guy who makes Rod his prison bitch...
If he had just apologized and admitted it in the beginning we wouldn't be going through this..However he had the GALL to lie over and over,, and waste taxpayer money..and then had the GALL to try to appoint someone to the Senate.. How stupid is this guy?

I hear you. But I don't think Blago could have just apologized and we would all be moving on.

The outrage I feel isn't over his lies or his appointment of Burris or even his waste of taxpayer money.

The outrage I feel is over his use and abuse of things related to kids. Blago's trying to blackmail, and yes that is what it is, blackmail, the CEO of Children's Memorial Hospital by holding up funding of medical programs for the treatment of our Stat's poorest kids.

A man who would do that deserves an eternity in a cell with Bubba.

And then there's this:

Obama then received the kickbacks which Evelyn also details in her articles. It was a simple quid pro quo, and Obama is quite the criminal, as was Blago, in the whole planning board conspiracy. So where has it gone? It was a flat out 18 USC 1346 "honest services" violation. The point of this is that in yesterday's superseding
indictment, 18 USC 1346 WAS included in the laws violated, but the planning board crimes were NOT included in the indictment. Why not? Obama's role and the kickbacks he received in the planning board scheme, are both public knowledge, splattered all over the internet, and not just by Evelyn. And yet he has not been charged. Why not?

Yeah well.....
Why was Bush and Cheney impeached for lying to the American Public?
The biggest crooks ever were in the White House under the Bush banner.
The GOP is pissed off, because they wanted to continue Business as usual.

As to the lying Scum..well that would Mayor Daley and his cronies. Obama,
and Blago..never were that close..Oh one more thing: Obama is doing a great job in the White House and has the majority approval of the citizen's.
I know how hard it must be to take Bubba. Chill out home boy.

He spent over $30K in hair transplants! I wonder if the taxpayers paid for that as well?
