Assembly race heats up with Roy McDonald running for the Senate

There are 6 comments on the spotlightnews.com story from Jul 9, 2008, titled Assembly race heats up with Roy McDonald running for the Senate. In it, spotlightnews.com reports that:

With Assemblyman Roy McDonald, R-Saratoga, seeking a shot at the state’s 43rd Senate District seat that will be left vacant by Joseph Bruno’s, R-Brunswick, departure, a Washington County Republican spent the holiday weekend gathering signatures for his designating petition for McDonald’s position. Fellow Republican Anthony Jordan, from Jackson, Washington County, has already been endorsed by McDonald in the race for the 112th Assembly District. Jordan, a partner in the firm Jordan and Kelly, is a practicing attorney and lives with his wife of 21 years, Wendy, and their four children, Gaby, 12, Tricia, 10, Luke, 8 and Eliza, 7. He says he will focus his run on property taxes and the rising cost of home heating fuel.

Why should I or any of my friends and Family vote for you ? I needed help with one of the State's Retirement system early this year and asked for asistance in getting things moving because it was becoming a finanical strain . I Emailed you not once but twice and you didn't have either the time or concern to even acknowledge reciept of the Emails .The issue with the retirement is still going on . I always thought you took care of people and went out of your way for a for a Veteran .I've been in the Military ( Marines and Army ) any Law Enforcement most of my Adult life and when I got hurt on the Job and get left hung out to dry and you couldn't even contact me .Even if you had contacted me and said there was nothing you could do , it would show you made a effort .Now you want a favor , my vote . You tell me why I or Family and Friends should show any effort throwing that switch on the voting machine for you .

Roy, you did an outstanding job for the Town of Wilton, as Town Supervisor and as an Assemblyman.
My family and friends look forward to seeing you a State Senitor.
