Michelle Obama focuses on fairness

Mrs. Obama gave an excellent, hard-hitting speech at the quad. Too bad only Obama fans heard it as it gave a full picture of who her husband is, what guides his life and what his plans are for this country. What a tragedy that our mainstream media (TV, radio and newspaper) can’t, at least a couple of times through this process, provide us with an opportunity to hear, see or read a straightforward, full length presentation of whatever the candidate/or the spouse want to tell us about themselves. Instead we get 30-second sound-bites(frequently attack ads) or poorly moderated debates that focus too heavily on trivia that has nothing to do with what either candidate could do to move us out of this quagmire! At this point in our history, we do not need a political strategist who is deeply in debt to large corporations, but a leader...one with vision the ability to unite us, and the courage to fight for the voiceless...our children and the poor of all races.

Sad day when Asheville is the target for the wife of the man most unfit to ever be considered for the President.

A man of fear, he is a true politician and says what he thinks will tickle the ears of the voter while hiding behind his fears, fear of his middle name, fear of coming to Asheville himself, fear of a debate with the other canidate, fear of positive actions regarding gas taxes, fear of serving in the military, fear of admitting his pastor is his mentor for 20 years, and so forth.

A man who never saw military service and a man who will bring America to a new low if elected.

Think about it, Colin POwell was the man to be the best choice for president this time and a man who has the guts to do the job, yet this fearful Husainne Obamma, sends his wife to stump for him.

Think anbout it folks, is this what you really want in the White House?

God help us for we will not help ourselves!

Enlisting in the military is one way to serve America. Another is the kind of community-based action which Obama chose over a high-dollar legal career. Wonder if Mr. Sad Day went to see Michelle Obama or if he was too afraid to go?:-)

From her past caustic remarks, she herself is not fit to be "first female". If she has a grievance with our country, that has given her so many advantages including a priceless education, where in the world would she rather locate? By some mishap, I happen to be a white "European American", and for me to receive all the free gifts Michelle has been given, I would have to pay a fortune. What’s more outrageous is that I had to pay for her gifts with my taxes. So tell me Michelle Obama, what is it about this country your not proud of???

I hope everyone who is considering voting for Mr. Obama will first research his voting record on pro-life issues. Here is one to start with:

The Born Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA) passed the U.S. Senate unanimously and was signed into law by President Bush in 2002. This bill states that all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether they were wanted or not.

Why was this bill necessary? Jill Stanek, a nurse in Illinois discovered babies were being aborted alive and shelved in soiled utility rooms at the hospital where she worked. This was part of the partial birth abortion holocaust that the Supreme Court rightfully ended last year. Jill is now a leading advocate against infanticide which is what partial birth abortion really is.(The child is born feet first, up until the head; then the child's skull is punctured while inside the womb.) Indeed partial birth abortion is reminiscent of the medical experiments Dr. Mengele performed at Auschwitz.

In Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeated failed thanks largely to then state senator, Barack Obama. The Illinois state bill only passed in 2005 - after Mr. Obama left.

Obama articulated that legislation such as BAIPA might infringe on "women's rights" or abortionists' rights. I guess the child's rights were of no concern to Mr. Obama. And so Obama voted against the state BAIPA twice.(Source: Catholic News Agency, Feb. 16, 2008)

The voters need to know that the "changes" Obama wants to bring to the presidency are radical, un-Christian and not worthy of the United States of America.

Here's another disturbing little indication of the type of "change" Obama would bring to the presidency. You can tell a lot about Obama's patriotism by his "Global Poverty Act" (S. 2433) which could come up any day in the Senate for a vote. Please contact your U.S. Senator and tell him/her to vote NO on this very dangerous bill.

Obama's bill would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7% of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign “aid”. That's $30 billion more than the amount we currently (generously) give. The Global Poverty Act also includes the U.N. Millennium Development Goal, calling for the “eradication of poverty” by “redistribution of wealth and land.”

The notion that the U.S. can eradicate global poverty is absurd. The vast majority of the world's poor live under dictatorships where caste systems, corruption and government oppression keep citizens locked into poverty. No amount of U.S. foreign aid will change this. In fact, much of our foreign aid winds up in the hands of those who inflict suffering on the world's poor. Case in point: the U.N. Iraq oil-for-food scandal where international aid was diverted into Saddam Hussein's pocketbook with the full knowledge of Kofi Annan and his administrators at the U.N.

Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University economist who supports the Millennium project, is on record saying that the only way to force U.S. contributions is through a global tax. That’s not what Americans need as we head into recession. How can we believe that Obama is concerned about America's working poor and struggling middle class when this bill he's pushing calls for new taxes on currency transfer, rental value of land and natural resources, natural resources (oil) and fuels (gasoline)?

The United Nations has proven time and time again to be a corrupt, anti-American forum for world socialism. We need to withdraw from the U.N. not prop them up.

The U.N.’s 2000 Millennium Goals set forth a plan to put the U.S. under a global governance including a “U.N. standing army,”“U.N. Arms register,” and implementation of all U.N. treaties. Among those treaties would be the U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty which would turn our maritime sovereignty over to the U.N. To achieve these goals, the plan calls for the elimination of the veto and permanent memberships on the U.N. Security Council. So in other words, the U.S. would have the same vote as Iran, North Korea, Communist China, Sudan and other hostile nations.

Obama's Global Poverty Act is a huge threat to American sovereignty. This bill alone renders him undeserving to be President of the United States.
