While I don't condone the action of Mr. Rollins, it is interesting to see that it was an attempted hit & run that caused this, not just a single bump to Mr. Rollin's car as earlier reported.

Ummm Mr. Ferraro,
The criminal complaint filed by the Burnsville PD (on the Dakota Co Inmate search page for Rollins) says nothing about him becoming angry after being hit the first time. I'm not saying Rollins is a cool customer, just that the author is claiming things are in the report which aren't.

Alsoo nothing was said about the moron in the Dodge. how can you indanger a woman and a 15 yearold girl, he should have charges against him as well. you would think he would stay and protec t the women. what a man he is!! but I bet you next time someone wont hit a car for the hell of it any more. they might get shot!

This sounds like much more than has been reported. First report makes Rollins sound like a loose cannon. Now that we find out that "Chronic" bumbed his car a second time. This does not sound like an accident. Infact maybe Rollins feared for his safety. That doesn't give him the right to blindly shott into a vehicle but it does make me want to know exactly what happened.

The ability to shoot is not a requirement when issued a concealed/carry. I hope the authorities take away his toy and his permit so there'll be one less loose cannon out there.

I would say by reading this account that the idiot in the durango should be the one in jail. He hit the other guys car so hard that while standing behind it, he sustained injury to his chin. THEN, the moron backed into it again.

I would say that in order for Rollins to get his C&C permit back he should have to spend some time at the range. This "Chronic" must go to jail. He should not get off without charges of his own.

I hope this guy had a legitimate reason to pull that gun; if not, he's making the rest of us look bad. Permit holders like myself do *not* go running around looking for a reason to pull out our guns, and the government statistics back that up. Still, I would not have a problem if he's found to have abused his permit privileges, and loses his permit.

The reporter did a very poor job reporting this story. His anti-gun agenda comes out in how he wrote the story. The shooter was hit twice by the guy in the Dodge SUV. From how the story was going I thought the author was going to go green and talk about the evil SUV the guy was driving.

It is my hope that the paper starts getting these stories right. The neighborhood newspapers offer more news and they are FREE.

After the FIRST 'bump' the guy came at the vehicle WITH HIS GUN DRAWN. He apparently had every intention of killing the driver immediately, rather than exchange insurance information.

Heck, if I'd have accidentally bumped him, I'd have probably tried to get away from this guy if he were coming at me with his weapon out.

i wish we had more of the story. as a permit holder myself, something smells funny here.

if the guy really is a permit holder he knows what he did was wrong and deserves to pay for it.

you do not draw your weapon unless you absolutley need it to defend your life.

sounds like a whole lot of fail going on here with all the parties involved

Maybe you should read the story...

Rollins is standing behind his vehicle, at 3AM, when somebody hits it hard enough to injure him. He drew is gun because somebody may be trying to do him harm. Then his vehicle is rammed again, and he shoots.

He may have overreacted, in a situation where he couldn't afford to overreact. But I think there may be a lot more to the story than this "news" article lets on. The PP has been such a worthless rag lately I have no doubt this article was more of an editorial than a true news story.

'an individual identified in the complaint only as "Chronic," '??

You people have got to be kidding.

Let Rollins go and put the girls in "Juvie" where they belong, then hunt down "Chronic". Then we can have a discussion of justice. Morons.
