The food might be good but, hows the service? He had this worker named Kim who gave us TERRIBLE service. Not to mention she looked like she had just climbed from under a rock, I mean GROSS!! I don't know if she still works there or not. If hes a smart fatman, he'd make her shower BEFORE he fired her.

The man that runs the place is nasty! You can tell what type of place is by juding their restrooms, you should've seen the restooms when he was across the street at the flea market,GROSS!!,when I reached to turn on the light, the place was so horrible I shoulda left the light off.I have seen alot of nasty restrooms at reststops and gas stations but this was the most horrible restoom I have ever entered.

Besides that I seen the fatman scratch his but while he was at the smoke wood grill and he went right on cooking without washing his hands!,YUCK!!!

They might have great food but cleanliness should be what people should be concerned with.
Oh well

I had never been to this resturaunt before. It was about 5:45 when my fiance & I walked inside the resuraunt. Before walking in we looked on their door but there was not a closing time listed. Only 11:00 AM-??? We assumed they were still open. The lady who greeted us was friendly and accomodating. Soon after ordering we noticed a younger girl pointing and rolling her eyes at us. Soon after they turned the lights out inside the resturaunt, we could barely see to eat the food. We weren't upset they were trying to close. If only they could of told us before taking our order and treating us so rudely. We still left a generous tip and requested to go boxes because we'd rather eat in the car. Considering we paid almost forty dollars for our meal, it's terrible the way we were treated. Needless to say, we will never eat there again.

Hmmm. That certainly isn't the proper way to treat a customer. I'm sorry you were done that way, and I have no connections with the business itself or the owners. We've never experienced a problem like that at FatMans.(For that matter, we didn't realize they closed so early either).

You should have been made to feel welcome as long as the door was open, and been treated well the whole time you sat for your meal. When they took your order, they agreed to serve you and do so just as politely as if you were there in the middle of the day. "Service" is NOT merely putting a plate down and then walking off to wait impatiently for a customer to leave...

I agree. The food is awesome.(Interesting on the winter hours, and it makes sense). But they did point out that the closing time wasn't on the door, and they were let in to eat. Guess the waitress was having a bad day, or needed to get out right on time. Either way, it wasn't good for a newcomer to be treated that way. I hope they give them another try, too.

I would eat ther but he has gambling machines in there now. Why does a decent "family oriented" restaraunt need gambling machines? Not the kind of place I'll take my kids to.

I've never seen those "gambling" machines. Are they in that little side room up front? But I do have one question for you that has my curiosity peeked: Would you take your child to a place where you could also have a glass of wine with your dinner (whether you would drink it or not), like an upper class steak house? Why would you avoid a restaurant because of a machine. As long as the machine wasn't sitting on your table, as I've seen in some locations around the nation in my travels.. Couldn't you just avoid that area and enjoy your meal? Is not a "Kentucky State Lotto" ticket machine the same thing? You're buying a paper ticket out of there (with cash money) in hopes of hitting it big.. I just don't get the reasoning why you won't go back to FatMans because of a machine.

I'm not trying to be rude, so please forgive in advance if my statement sounds as such.

Wow
If two people ate at Fatman.s the place me and my family of six , eat at two or three times a week .we have never spent forty dollars , unless it was friday or saturday night seafood or steak night . And for 10 bucks best steak in town . You might have paid 20 bucks if you ate like pigs . Fatmans does more for the community and charity and the schools here than , many of us ever even thought to do . They are outstanding people and do a fine job of making us feel like kings at Fatman;s By the way you probly take your kids to MrGattis pizza and eat . The place were they teach you and your children to gamble daily , Money in the games out pops ticket and wham !! Kids are gambling for prizes .wE NEED TO SUPPORT GREAT LOCAL PLACES LIKE FATMAN'S
bEST FOOD IN BURNSIDE , BEST PEOPLE , GREAT EMPLOYEES , CLEAN IT GETS NO BETTER . cOME ON BY and meet these outstanding folks enjoy great food . Me and my family will be there . Drop by southwestern High school ask them about all the donations from Fatmans , gods food pantry , childrens services , Relay for Life , American cancer office , Boys camp in Monticello , Vetrans dinner and any other person or organization that Fatmans and his family have given to while struggling to keep there own bills paid . You all need to look in the mirror and see how wrong any person would be to say anything bad about these folks .Good luck finding better people than the crew and folks at Fatmans Paradise BBQ Great Job Fatman and all there
We love you and all this trash on here is just that trash

no problem, I enjoy the food let me first say. However any place that has people in the backroom playing cherry pickers isn't too "family oriented". To answer the second fatmans does not serve alcohol, hence the reason why I would have taken my children there. I do not take my children to any of the bars in burnside. The point that catches with me is if the business is community and family oriented why does the owner feel the need to have illegal gambling machines? The machines are in the area now closed off where the video games used to be.

I am well aware that FatMans doesn't serve alcohol. We eat there often. And I was not referencing the restaurants in Burnside either. I meant to specify places such as (which we don't have yet) Longhorn, or Outback Steak houses. Would you take your children there? Even if you did not drink while you ate your dinners? I was too vague, and for that I apologize. If these machines that FatMan has on the premises are illegal, I'm sure they'd have been gone by now.. You yourself said they are in an enclosed area, so what's the problem? The food is awesome, the people are friendly. What more can you ask?
