I am a stay at home wife, my husband and I moved into our new home in Jan, Ive been looking for work, but here in Somerset its not that easy, Anyway my husband left me a week ago, he took both vehicles (cause my name is not on them) , left me with no food or money. I have a job interview on Monday so I am trying to be self sufficient. I found out today he did not pay rent. I have literally no family here and no friends with the room for me to stay with them. Im wodering if there are any programs that could help me pay rent. Please do not judge me, I am trying to dig myself out of the hole my husband left me in. I am not trying to sit on my ass and get a check. Anyway if you know of anything please comment below. Thank you and God Bless

Wow that is really uncool. Do you have children?
I know you dont have money for a lawyer either but being married you are entitled to one of those cars and alimony until you can get on your feet.
Tell him he will be paying you backpay and more if he doesn't give you the means to carry on in his absence . He has abandoned you and that is seen as such in court. Sorry I don't know of anything to help you rent , but I'll ask around.

No we dont have any living children, and I know I should be entitled to one of those cars but I cant force him to bring me one. I literally have hit rock bottom at this point and Im not sure what to do. I wish I could take him to court over this because no matter why he left, I dont think I deserved this. Thank you , If you find out anything please let me know.

I wish I could help you but I don't have any money either. Your husband should let you have one of those cars. I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't sold one already.

You seriously need a lawyer and get all you can since he did you this way. I hate to say this but I be another woman is involved. There usually is when they start treating you like crap.

Thank you for all your help , and Thank you for NOT judging me. I was scared to post this I thought I would get alot of negative comments. Its nice to know strangers can help one another. Its sad that my family wont even help me, they are full of "I told you so's". Ive been looking online for rent assistance, but most of what I see is single mothers or battered women. I dont fall into these categories. I have definitely learned my lesson this time around, I will never completely depend on a man again.I will definitely check into all of the places you guys mentioned, anything helps!

I have data on my phone red Ryder, I'm not the kindof person to make something like this up. I was raised not to ask for help unless I absolutely had too.

Do not respond to trolls. They will bug you to death until you start ignoring them.

Call some Baptist churches and I am fairly sure you will receive some help. Some of them believe in doing what the bible demands rather than just building bigger buildings.

Were you the one holding the sign in front of Schlotsky's today? Just curious.

As far as help goes, check with the Catholic church as well. They have clothes you can get certain days of the week I think. As far as work goes, I would assume restaurants are hiring. What skills do you have?

Hang in there. Things will turn around.

"no matter why he left, I don't think I deserved this". Please explain that. Why did he leave? Your fault? If its adultery and he can prove it you get nothing in a divorce I charged my now ex-hubby with adultery took everything. He got bills. Most people charge irreconcilable differences. Also you and the other party or parties involved in the adultery can be sued for removal of affection. Done that too, they all had to pay a set amount of $$$ each month for the 10 years we were married.

He didnt leave because of aldultery. He left because the bills were getting to him and told me I had 2 weeks to get a job. I put in alot of applications in those two weeks but didnt recieve a call. I am now starting a job in a couple of weeks when their next training session is held. Even if was cheating, I deserve to be left with no food, and no place to live?
