i have spent a large portion of my life living on the wabash.Love it,it's home to me. the trees, the wildlife, the birds, and the fish are breathtaking. the freezing and thaw of the river during the winter, is like watching a mini glacier. When the ice breaks, it makes a huge BOOM! sound like an explosion. When I hear that I run out to watch the ice come rushing down the river, in huge iceberg like chunks. I have seen otters, raccoons, deer, herons, eagles, hawks etc. The Wabash has played a huge part in the founding and success of our state. Unfortunately, it may also be the undoing of the river itself. Please support the Indiana Healthy Rivers Initiative.

They stink like the death of 100000 elephants.
Clean rivers don't.
