Monticello accident injures seven

An accident Monday afternoon in White County sent seven people to the hospital. Indiana State Police say it happened around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon on U.S. 24 and County 300 East, just outside of Monticello.

Come on White County, step it up.

As a life long resedent of White County, I can recall numerous accidents at this intersection. Just how many people have to be seriously hurt or killed before something is done? Maybe at least a flashing signal could be installed, seems a small price to pay to save a persons life.

I use this intersection daily(I live on this road).If people would OBEY the laws they are under while driving,this kind of accident would probably be prevented.There is no light or stop sign on highway 24,there IS on 300.If the stop sign was obeyed and the driver had waited for traffic to clear before they tried to cross no-one would have been hurt.I am sick to death of people putting blame on everything and anyone but the ones at fault.We don't need more caution lites,or signs,we need to start forcing people to obey the ones already in place with bigger fines for violiting the laws!!!!!!
