Vermont Catholic diocese faces two new lawsuits

Vermont's Roman Catholic diocese is facing two new lawsuits claiming it transferred assets into trusts to make it harder for alleged victims of priest sex abuse to collect damages.

Let's hope that every single man and woman who was victimized by Vermont priests, nuns, seminarians, ministers and clergy will come forward. Let's hope they get the help and healing they deserve. And let's hope this litigation will prod church officials to work harder to protect the vulnerable and heal the wounded.
