There are new flu strains every year. Why are we now micro-managing every one that comes along like we have some kind of armageddon?

What happened to the famous "bird flu" that was going to end the world last year? Between the crazed radicals in DC and the sycophantic media lapdogs, who trusts anything they claim to be an "emergency"?

thank you OMG, i've been saying that since this whole thing has started, i can't turn on my tv without hearing about the swine flu, im getting sick of it, people need to realize more people have died from the seasonal flu

I know the Schools here in the Burlington Vt area are reluctant to release any numbers on absenses, Chittenden East in particular.
My son was told to get a mask and wear it to school. Great atmosphere for learning. Hey - anybody - didn't we see pictures like that coming out of China like that a few years ago? The SARS scare wasn't it?
