You got it right. The view from atop Penns Peak is awesome. At night, check out the PPL building through the gap. The outdoor eating area is many large decks. Smokers not a problem. Food is well priced and well prepared.

It is great that this type of dining recreation exist but enough with the comparisons to other places. The Al Fresco headline is corny. Let all these places stand on their own merits. In the past I have read headlines that would state "NY style dining coming to the Valley" or other similar proclamations. I say enough with the silliness!

People must be made aware that dining in rural Pennsylvania where restaurants are on wellwater and made to sign off of non-community water supply to remain open like they did to me until I caught on to Dep and lies to protect Agriculture in which high nitrates of 22.7mgl was in the wellwater that I could have remained open to serve pregnant women and children this cancer water to my customers but I chose to force Dep to close my business down after I signed back on non-community water supply to protect my customers and my family in which after fight them for over ten years I lost my health license and liquor license . I fight today because it is wrong to protect farmers that dont care about there neighbors or the environment in which the drinkers here are dead wqith cancer while our politicians coverup the crimes.

We were just there last Friday night and sat outside. They have really done a great job with their outdoor seating area, and you can get away with a very reasonable tab depending on what you get.

Most people are scared to sit outside because of the bugs... "Ew ew! Icky icky bugs!" They have to be in a "hygienic" (i.e. sterile/boring) environment to be "comfortable."

Sit outside among the flying annoyances, crawly things & hot weather! That I reserve for a picnic - not something I'm going to pay for. Eating outside has one advantage - it deafens the sound of womens chatter!

I have been to all of the first 5 restaurants and must say that none of them comes even close to an outdoor eating experience in Europe. It is sad that sitting on a parking lot of a strip mall made the list.
What is even worse, some of the better places in the Lehigh Valley have been left out. e.g. Spring Garden Inn, Bellissimo Ristorante

Limeport Inn is definately the place if you want to ENJOY eating outside. Who wants to eat outside in the city anyway. If you want to eat outside in the city go to NY and enjoy choaking on the fumes and drinking their clorinated water. Give me country atmosphere and well water anytime.

FYI, NYC's municipal water consistently ranks very high among the best-tasting and cleanest public water supplies in the country. When Ed Koch was mayor, it took top honors nationwide.

I hope your well isn't too close to a farm, or those two Amish idiots with the outhouse.

They should have included the spring valley in on this list. I always enjoyed sitting out with the trout stream in the country.
