Immigration splits N.C. county

The charged debate has split county residents into two camps: those who see the sheriff as a patriot fighting a tide of criminal immigrants, and those who see him as spokesman for a new wave of discrimination.

Amazing. When the illegal alien border jumpers and their advocates don't get their way, it's then discrimination. I'm sick to death of these people crying discrimination, you're taking away our civil liberties. The civil liberties that are being attacked are those of U.S. citizens.

The Sheriff is representing the citiznes. If the illegals don't like it, they can leave! Hostages, they're not!
