As curriculum changes, schools grow larger

Is there "extra" money in the school department budget to hire more teachers to enable you to decrease the amount of children per classroom?

Seems like all the towns/cities are building similar size schools. So what is the big issue with going with a 500 student school? sounds like good planning.

It seems many of the surrounding towns are looking to build new schools. Glad to see the state giving money for this. Wish the Feds would also contribute.

Because other towns are digging themselves into a hole to do it, Billerica should also? I say go back to the drawing board, scale it down so we won't need an exemption. Living beyond ones means is what got this country into trouble, lets not keep doing it.
