Greetings From Frankfort
Merrillville, IN
|
Anyone paying attention in our community has heard Susan Tharp’s pro-illegal Hispanic rhetoric ever since she took over Learning Network of Clinton County. Perhaps the first to be affected was the prior staff of the Learning Network. Many or most of these fine people left the organization only because of her pro-Hispanic agenda. She now uses the Learning Network to promote her pro-Hispanic, pro-illegal people. She has said publicly it should not matter if someone lives here illegally. Ms. Tharp, haven’t you noticed the citizens of Frankfort, including most Hispanic leaders (who live here legally, by the way) disagree with you? Many local people has said “Susan Tharp being openly pro-Hispanic and pro-illegal is one thing, but her practice of using our Learning Network to openly attract more illegal people to Frankfort needs to stop, and stop now.” Ms. Tharp, on the other hand, works hard using the learning network resource to attract more illegal people here – she wants to grow her empire, have more Hispanic students and hire more instructors. So, we ask you, the residents of Frankfort: Why do you let Susan Tharp speak for you? We ask this question because The Times has only printed positive stories about her and her pro-Hispanic Learning Network. Meanwhile, The Times has refused to print letters to the editor that disagree with Ms. Tharp on the illegal people topic. Thus, all of Ms. Tharp’s pro-Hispanic and pro-illegal rhetoric has simply stands unchallenged. You might let Ms. Tharp speak for you if you and she have a lot in common. So, let’s examine what you might have in common with Ms. Tharp: 1. According to public records, Susan Tharp is paid $62,670 per year by Purdue University as Extension Director of the Learning Network. In addition, Ms. Tharp is paid an additional $48,894 of our county taxpayer money, authorized by our own Clinton County Commissioners. So, Ms. Tharp gets an annual salary of $111,564. If you don’t agree with this, talk with or write to our county commissioners and tell them what you think. 2. But wait, there’s more. Ms. Tharp gets a fee for writing grants on behalf of the Learning Network, and she applies for many grants. Ms. Tharp is also a paid consultant in the field of education. So, how much does Ms. Tharp earn per year – who knows? $150,000? $200,000? May be some of you wives out there make a similar wage, and if you do, you have something in common with Ms. Tharp, and so perhaps you should allow her to speak for you. 3. Ms. Tharp’s husband Dr. Tharp is a medical doctor, and we might only guess his income is perhaps $150,000 per year. Oh, but Dr. Tharp has a second paid job as Clinton County Health Officer. So, if you were to guess Dr. Tharp’s total annual income, perhaps you would say it’s about $180,000 and perhaps much, much more. Combined, this family may well earn $200,000 or $300,000 per year, or more. If y our family earns this much, you have something in common with the Tharp’s and so perhaps you should let them speak for you. More info on Frankfort issues at focusonfrankfort.net

Wow, we've been talking about this post, and we bet Susan Tharp is really steaming! Finally someone has spoken the truth about her and how she attracts more and more illegals into the Frankfort area... And we bet she would have attacked the group that posted this info on the internet if she could have found a way to do that. It's about time she is known for all of her hard work. Now, let's see if the Clinton County Commissioners give her a raise, or, give her the boot! Whats' your opinion on that question?

Wow we bet Susan Tharp is hopping mad at this post! Will Clinton County Commissioners give her a big raise this year, or will they give her the boot? She certainly has done an excellent job at attracting many more illegals into the Frankfort area. Does anyone know how many rental properties the Tharps own in Frankfort? I am contacting the county commissioners to tell them what I think. I think the county needs a new person running the show out there on south jackson street. This Tharp money (TARP MONEY?)is a rediculous amount of money for anyone involved in public education to get in Frankfort especially with me helping to pay for it. And despite Tharps decent work with our ag community, we don't need no more illegal hispanics, ya know!!! I totally disagree with our Learning Network being used by anyone for any reason other than educating those living in our community. Whether it's Ms. Tharp or Annie Oakley, our Learning Network is a big help to our community, and so it really hurts that Ms. Tharp has used it to promote her personal agenda. She is entitled to her opinion about the Mexicans in Frankfort, of course, but I am very unhappy she uses our Learning Network and our tax dollars for her personal agenda, and I would say that to her face except she would write hate letters to the editor of the Times, so I know better. Dear John Q - be careful there friend. If you keep this attitude up, you'll have the Grismer family down your neck (M. Grismer being an employee of the learning network, and Andy Grismer being the very outspoken, opinionated, public defender of whatever it is they do as long as it's pro-Hispanic in nature. If you don't believe me, ask those folks at Clinton County Chamber of Commerce who got attacted last year and called 'racists' by the pro-illegal contingent. Fair warning - they want more illegals in Frankfort so they can hire more instructors and build their empire, and they won't let anyone stand in their way, as we've seen. The Frankfort paper is owned by the same firm that owns ours in Peru. The publisher of their paper in Frankfort is a illegal sympathyzer. He has spoken in public about how he grew up in a migrant family picking crops along side the mexican migrants. That's what attracted him into Frankfort. I don't know why, but he recently moved to Champaign Illinois. I wonder how he keeps is crew at Frankfort Times in line - surely not by the internet? I and wonder even more why Frankfort's leader put up with him, with him living in Illinois but writing his Editorials telling them what to do and what not to do. Typical of Frankfort - bury you heads in the sand and hope it goes away... JDT wrote: <quoted text> Wow, I am glad I got this forum in my e-mail. I heard that! Susan Tharp is ruthless and wow what a temper! She ran off all the people who worked at the learning network like that article says. I heard that that Grinsmer guy works from his home in Frankfort and so he spends a lot of 'work time' on the web and writing letters to the editor when something doesnt go his way. I think him and that Tharp lady went to the same school - Holyer Than Thou College. I myself try to stay out of their way, but it's about time someone called it like it is. Good luck with that! You gave up taking the Frankfort Liar? Join the club. I'm hooked on WILO and get all my local news from them. Plus, Vern an LaVern (aka Vern and Alaine (Elaine?)are against the hispanic invation just like our family is. I wouldn't give the leaders of The Times the TIME of DAY or no more of my money, but I will listen to WILO and I even called in once to complain about Susan Tharp. I wonder why so many local people are so afraid of her, I'm not!!! Bring it on, Susan baby!!!(I pay your salary now, but I'll be at the County Council meeting telling them to fire you soon.) Dear John Q...pay attention to the advice here. We've gotten reports of smoke coming from the Grismer house, only to discover Andy was writing hate letters to the newspaper again. I heard he is so outspoken only because everyone was accusing M. Grismer, his wife, of wearing the pants in the family. No wonder she is Susan Tharps' flunky - two peas in a pod, those two! Well, time for more coffee, no use putting more gasoline on these smoldering embers tonight. Sworn Enforcement Officer wrote: Dear John Q - be careful there friend. The Times is about to go under. Their building has been up for sale for years. They are a victim of their own pro-latino agenda. After all, how many illegal mexicans who speak limited hispanic and no english will buy a newspaper written in Ingles? Answer - very few, only those who don't know what they are doing from minute to minute (well, that's still more than you think, but you get my drift). Have you seen all the Times staff are on rotating jobs? I'll bet they've had 120 people in and out of there in the past year alone! I'll stick with WILO - at least it's operated by a multi-millionair who understand how much the 'little mexico' reputation has hurt Frankfort. I'm from there, so I know, no? Several of us involved in 4H for years have discussed this rumor. We didn't believe what we had heard, until one of the Clinton County Councilmen showed us the website the Learning Network had put up! We are now seeing the Learning Network offers 'Immigration School' to the Hispanics, and we wonder out loud how this helps Frankfort? I think it's time we tell the Purdue Extension Board members they need to stop this foolishness. It doesn't help Frankfort or Clinton County, it only attracts more illegals. We all agree - we certainly don't need that. Why Susan Tharp doesn't understand, we don't know. Other than this, she seems well-intended. You, sir, are a genius! How do you know so much about Terry Ward? I wonder why The Times has not informed the public that their head guy (who decides which articles get published and just what every one of their editorial says) doesn't even live in Indiana, let alone Frankfort! I knew that Brian character at The Times lived in Lafayette, but I had no idea that Ward lives in Illinois! I quit taking the Times over a year ago, just after they started that series on the illegals in Frankfort and made them out to be saints! Maybe someone will buy the Times and get it back on the straight and narrow. PS. Most serious crime in Frankfort is by the Hispanics. PS#2 TPA Park is a drug-dealers den, so people, let's be real careful out there. It strikes me all the comments here are against Susan Tharp and Terry Ward. I'm checking back in a few days, because I cannot believe that Susan Tharp will let this opportunity go without getting here fan club (er, I mean, her employees and their husbands) to submit their own biased comments on this post. I've learned a lot on this tonight, and so now I'm more informed. Surely they will post comments that say this is all untrue. I am reminded of that saying...you can fool all of the people some of the time, or some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. As for me, my opinion of Susan Tharp just went down 1000%!!!! Legal American wrote: I think everyone needs to call each one of the County Council Men and complain. I don't live in Frankfort so I don't know, but I do wonder if the Tharps own many rental properties. I mean it seems they must have more to gain if more illegal hispanics move into Frankfort. Is it just the thing about Empire Building at the Learning Network? If they make all that money (and these number seem to be valid), how much more money do they need to make? And I thought I have a good income! I make less than half of what the Tharps make, and I've got 20 rental units to maintain! Maybe we need more illegal here in Lafayette.
