Unbelievable, now I know where all the money goes to. Residents (middle class and the seniors) are struggling to live in this cr#ppy town and the BOE have the nerve to approve her contract, give me a break.

What ever happened to job loyalty. These high paid admins in education do noting but job shop every few years - proving they are in it for the money, not the children. Bullshi$*$*t as usual.

Tell me agin, wht does she deaserve $200/month for car and travel? She works in the main BOE office. This seems like a waste of my money Monroe. Idots are surely running - I mean ruining this town. I am counting the days to put my house on the market. All you feel good democrats can kiss my as%&$s if you think I'm going to keep paying almost $20,000/year in just property taxes to a town that has no paid fire department, no trash pick up, and no brains - cause I know doznes of highly taxed residents thinking the same as me...bye bye

Exactly who are you refering to? Former Superintendent Beitman left due to family & child issues. His replacement came out of retirement just to fill in as a temporary superintendent until Monroe BOE could do a search (which concluded with Dr. Palmer's appointment).

As to Mr. Devaux, as I understand it, the BOE was unable to come to terms on a new contract based on a disagreement over length of contract, not money.

Most of the administrators have been in place for many years. Actually, Monroe has a low turnover of all staff.

Maybe you should read the contract (as I have) before you comment on what the Superintendent does or read the BOE minutes to get an idea of what the Super. does. She does not stay in her office all day.

If you are actually paying almost $20K in taxes that means you are living in a house valued at more than $1million. I wish I could feel sorry for you, but I can't. I think you are smart to sell your house, take your gain and find someplace with lower taxes. Good luck on your move.
