EVEN THOUGH I DESPISE TOPIX AND roboblogger for these fake headlines I had to reprint this from Quatermaster oped.

"Most of the Paulians I know are anything but nut jobs. Paul represents something that a goodly majority of our country dislike these days. Yes, Paul has indeed read the constitution. Moreover, he takes it seriously. But that's not the problem.

The problem is that goodly majority has no idea what the founders stood for. If the founders were wandering the country, they would be regarded as "Paultards" and other less savory sobriquets. To put it bluntly, the Founders would be regarded as idealistic idiots. That, alas, is the product of the Prussian style public education that has been severely dumbed down.

The Founders, however, would not be shocked at what their country has become. They, unlike most so called statesmen, understood human nature. John Adams expressed it well when he said, referring to the constitution, "it is adequate for the governance of only a moral people." last I looked, the people long ago let go of their moral anchors. When that happens, you get what you have coming. Failure is the least of it."-Quartermaster
