That is exactly right people do need to know all the facts before making such awful comments!! It just really makes me sick to think the tarrantco/da convicted Christopher of “MURDER”. Murder it was not! Just because he has had 2 prior DWI? Well that tells me maybe the young man had some kind of problem the state of Texas should have figured that out by the 2nd DWI. Not slap him on the hand then should have got him some court order help & support. So as I see the state of Texas has yet failed. So is it fair to say state of Texas is guilty of murder to? I bet you you’re fast to say no…
This young man has been yet failed by the state of Texas once again. He guilty of a stupidity, but not of murder. Just another person failed by Texas sent away to rot forever!!!

Good riddance to this criminal! A third DWI is not a "mistake." It shows willful and reckless disregard for human life. He deserves to be in jail and off the road for all our sakes. And to the poster who wrote that the state of Texas is at fault. Give me a break! The man was driving on a suspended license. He had already spent time in jail, then broke the law again by choosing to drive on a suspended license -- not to mention the DWI. I'm glad for the victim's family that this man is going to be locked up for 40 years.

Ohh the Nevada (where ever that is) comment is probably from the dumbest person ive ever seen write... Ever heard the saying.. DONT MESS WITH TEXAS... That idiot got exactly what he deserved.. well not really, should have received life.. ALSO know your facts... 4 Officers testified on 4 previous DWI's, not to include arrest for dope and assault.. The crash was his 5th DWI.. Dont nose around what you know nothing about!!! TEXAS doesn't babysit, you play you pay..

The facts are that poor little unlicensed boy chose to drive a car with a blood alcohol level of .19, which, in every state in this country, is illegal. He got convicted twice before...and you know what, my friend Madhuri is dead because of it. 40 years will not bring her back...at least you can have the peace of mind knowing he won't be out here with the opportunity to kill someone you love.

You obviously were a juror. This young man DID NOT HAVE FOUR PREVIOUS DWI's. You all did NOT hear all of the evidence. It would be one thing if he intentionally set out to cause harm, but Madhuri, 15 years his senior, and intoxicated, told Chris to drive. A 36-year-old should have said neither one of us is driving. That in and of itself is worth something. Do not blame this entire tragedy on the young man.

As a close friend of Madhuri's, this whole accident was a tragic loss for all involved! I know that she would have never wanted this guy in jail...if this guy was considered a "friend".

Let me say this...should be a city ordinance against drinking alcoholic beverages in public/public places. What, they can tell me where I smokea cig in order to keep non smokers from breathing the 2nd hand smoke...but they cant tell idiots where to or where not to get drunk? In order to keep non drinkers from loosing their lives. what too much money for the economy to loose out on..from bondsmen all the way up the ladder. Boy, lawmakers need to pull their thumbs out of their mouths or out of their ass's and do something that will ACTUALLY make a difference
In texas, after 1 beer, you are over the legal limit.

The facts have been stated. He was a repeat offender. The state of Texas can not help anyone who does not want the help! How many people does a drunk have to kill before justice is done? I'll bet you wouldn't feel this way if it was your loved one who was killed! ie. murdered!

Thank you for your kind words. You are absolutely right -- it was indeed a tragic loss for all involved and I know that Madhuri would not have wanted that for Chris.

Thanks again.

Let me ask you this, what was a married attorney who was 16 years older than this minor doing allowing him to drive her car after she was intoxicated and obviously having an affair. How is it murder? The charge murder means you have clear intent, or control and have decided to kill someone. The charge DWI means you have no control, you are not in control of yourself because youre intoxicated. Right? Yes he did wrong and deserves to be punished severely. But 40 years? At $60,000.00 a year per inmate dont you think there is something better we can do for those who are suffering from alcohol and drug problems? Or do all you people out there writing and talking trash who have perfect lives and are born with no addictions and never make mistakes prefer he rots and never has a chance for redemption. There still is no clear evidence that he was over the limit. It is in debate whether it is fair to use blood samples since the amount of alcohol expands as time passes. The bottom line is that he was at fault but an Adult who was married and was also an attorney ( morally held at a higher standard) gave the keys to Chris which should clear him of her murder - not to mention the oxymoron that is the murder charge. Come on, all you people out there if this was a movie and you saw how in love these 2 were you would be crying for him, but since your fat asses are at work and have nothing better to do then vent your steam this is what society gets. He didnt murder anyone THEY made a tragic mistake that led to 2 lives being lost, Maduri's and Chris's. He is now in the worst prison unit in Texas with people who chopped people up and buried them in fields. He had addictions that needed help. He wasnt a brutal killer. Please, if youre reading this help Chris. Contact me at [email protected]
