Car wrongfully towed and lead to me having to move out.?Around Sept. of last year, my car was towed (which was parked right in front of my apt) because they were painting the parking lot. Mind you, they only painted the white stripes and did not paint the black part. I only had to move my car on the other side of the building. They said they sent out a letter to me (not by mail, but put it on a clip in front of my apt), but I did not receive it. I had no knowledge of them preparing to paint the lot. I did receive a letter a few weeks before that they were going to to it on a different date, but apparently they rescheduled to the date that my car got towed. That put me in such a rut, that I could not pay the outrageous late fees (I paid about 150 a month over my because of the day that my pay date fell; 15th of every month, once a month) and paid what I could, which was rent only. At the end of Nov, they asked me to move out because my late fees had accumulated up to 500. Not rent, but late fees. Since I was believe I was wrongfully towed, which caused me to be behind on late fees, do I have a case to at least clear my credit from this?
