I am so sorry to hear about the business burning and my heart and prayers goes out to the owners and employees of Potters Ace hardware over their loss. I hope that they will rebuild because the store was such a nice place to shop and the free popcorn was a plus as well. Thanks to the fire depts and law enforcement personnel for their part in dealing with the tragic event of the fire.

I would like to know what chemicals (toxins) were released in the air? I am concerned because I had been asleep, with a window open the entire time the smoke filled my house. I have children to be concerned about as well, and so that is why I would like details as to what we just inhaled for periods of time please... Thanks....

So sorry this happened, it was the saddest thing . Loved the place ,they were all so very nice, especially the young man that worked there he was so nice to me.but all of them were also.

Hope and pray they rebuild and come back and so glad they were all ok.Prayers were going up when I saw the smoke,I thought ,Lord please take care of Connie and all the ones in that place.Thank you Lord and for all the firemen and all the ones who worked so hard against the wind that was so feeding the flames.

the entire town needs to be aware of the toxins released. This is very serious. That information should be publicly released !

With potters being a hardware store, they sell weed killer, drain cleaner, paints, stains, insulation and other chemicals and stuff. They are all dangerous if burnt and inhaled.
Well

Well if all them chemicals was in the air shouldn't they close school Tuesday and get the fire department out there to check on the vents and stuff in school?

Some parents were irate that their children were taken to Adair County...apparently there weren't too concerned about their "Little Jonny" breathing any chemicals!! They were more concerned about jumping down the school officials throats than they were about their child's heatlth!! Ignorance abounds in this town!! NUFF SAID!!

Probably same ignorant people that we see lined up for cigarettes at the "smoke shop". Hell, if they are that stupid, to pay money to put chemicals in their kids lungs using second hand smoke, why would they then want them bussed to Columbia to avoid inhalation of smoke from a lumber yard fire here in town? You can't fix stupid!
