Just read what someone wrote, even if shes not liked, surely she's done something. All that person ask was if someone would just add Angie's name because they didn't know how.

I agree, there's too many people losing job, and the economy is just killing alot of people, start the fighting about the election later. But I'll say one thing I've never read so much about someone's marriage. I'm just going to pray for both, if they can work it out that's great, & if not Just get it over with.

Who it is doesn't matter as much as what they will do with the office. We don't need another who sees the job as working out plea deals that slap our outlaws on the hands as they hussle them out the front door. I will vote for the person who stands up and promises to ID, build a case, and then lock up the lowlife criminals who account for so much of the crime in CC. The ID part will be easy as a quick review of the arrest records will show the repeat faces coming thru the revolving doors. Once identified, they need to be judged fairly and dealt with harshly.

The first place to start would be the guy who tried to break in on the 78year old lady on S 61. If he recovers enough to get out of the hospital, I understand there will be a ride available directly to jail. When that happens we need a prosecutor with the B*lls to throw the book at him. Hope his friends are enjoying their freedom, because I suspect they will be joining him when he names them in an attempt to save his own worthless self.

Who is that candidate? That is who we need to vote for.

Like I said, I'll support anyone who will break the cycle of letting criminals walk. Our S61 burglar should be the first one to experience the new law. With his prior criminal history, maybe they can go with the habitual criminal statute and put him away for ++++years. Tax payers will be supporting him so it might as well be a cell.

Sweetheart if you want all that done, you need a new Judge. The locking them up don't come from the county attorney, that comes from your Judge. Sometimes people don't understand how the system works. Honey, your County Attorney can only bring something before the Judge. A County Attorney cannot convict anyone, they can make recommendations, then it's up to the Judge. Sounds to me like your county needs to start with your Judge and do a clean sweep down.

Only partially true. The Cty Atty around here is famous for cutting plea deals before it ever reaches a jury. I have been in the jury pool for almost 3 months and have never been called to a jury because the court has not required a jury due largely to plea deals.

I want a cty atty that is willing to go to court with a case rather than cutting deals.

The Co. Atty. cannot makes deals by herself, sometimes both parties agree, because there's not enough evidence to convince a jury, or the plea bargain may be more than, going before the judge, and there's not enough evidence(in the judges mine,(by Law) the whole case could be thrown out. So if the party(did the crime) thinks that he may get the book thrown at him, he/she, they are the ones that have their lawyer & Co.Atty meet and try to work it out. I know, been there, done that.
Got more punishment by the plea bargain, than I think if I had went before the judge. BUT it was a decision that I made to plea bargain.

Not sure what point you are arguing? In CC we have a CA who has made a practice out of doing these deals. You can split hairs as to who is involved in a deal [defendant, judge] but for sure the people are not represented. We have a crime problem here and its the same people over and over. Probation and limited jail time for repeat criminals seems to always end up with the same people arrested again.

Plea deals are justified in some cases, but when the county jury pool has sat for 2 months without a "court" trial; I think that alone makes my point. Secondarily the deals should properly look out for the interest of the public. We need to take these criminals off the street. People bit*h about law enforcement turning a blind eye, but I know the police are frustrated when they arrest suspects only to see them spin thru the revolving doors.

If our courts are so over loaded and backed up, tell me how we go 2+ months and don't even have a circuit court trial.

How many years has these plea bargains been going on? Did they just start when she got the job, I think not, I WANT NOTHING MORE than to see these people dealt with, I'm sick of seeing the same old names in the paper every week. I do agree start making some examples out of these people(drunks, drug addicts, thieves, etc. and maybe people will feel alittle bit safer on the roads, and in their homes. It's time for the hard working, non-addicts-housebreaking to stop, & we the people better make it known, in the next election. I THOUGHT she said " she was going to have monthly meetings with the public, get our opinions, tell us whats going on, to get some of the people off the streets & in jail. I'm tired of working all the time, & have for years, and have some low-live steal something from me THAT I WORKED AND PAID FOR. If they run as gangs, then start throwing the book at one hard, & maybe they'll tell who part of the ole gang is.

i was a victim in a case and a deal was cut and i didnt agree to it. i think i got done pretty shitty to have been the victim. and ms capps done that deal without my approval. i hope she gets put out and can never practice law again. when your a victim and cant get help you are in trouble. i went to another county and talked to their county attourney and there was several charges that he could have gave me. wander what the difference is.

i am for ever who will do what they say and hold up the law like it is suppose to be done. no matter who you are or how much you have. i think angie had her chance and blew it big time

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aquarius

This is another day when financial matters cause trouble, as Mars reverses in your seventh house. What started off as a minor niggle with a partner or an opponent yesterday could now escalate into a full-blown row, but at least this will give you the chance to get certain things out into the open. Legal issues from the past may become ugly. If you're pointing the finger of blame at someone, don't get so heated that you accuse them of everything under the sun.
