What business services? Let's see, trash pickup once a week. You call the police to report poachers in your woods. The police can't find the house, and when they do, they tell you to call the game warden, but you can't reach him, immediately. He might call in a month. I don't have kids so what city services have I been cheated out of? My hats off to the Burger King owners.

Aren't these the same Burger Kings that Channel 3 reported on about giving their employees payroll checks that bounced about a week ago? What are they doing with all the money they are stealing? Sending to terrorists maybe?

The owners should have to pay the taxes and should be fined or jailed.
Would like to know if they own any
other Burger Kings in the area.

I dont think that the whole story was presented. How far behind were they really and how much money was owed. I bet they were not a year behind because they would be in jail. I also heard that the money was offered back to from the city of suffolk after it was taken. Why would they offer it back? I think that there is going to be legeal action taken because things were put way out of context if you acutally anlyaze the situation.

no homework needed, they are just deadbeats. They pay their employees with bad checks and don't pay taxes. What more do you want? I'm suprised they aren't the same ones that were bathing in the restaurant's kitchen sink.

they own bks on western branch blvd in churchland, one in Smithfield, in Franklin by lowes, Windsor, Suffolk on Bennets creek and townepoint rd. The city probably offered the money back because one of them is a cop. Suffolk is corrupt people, open your eyes.

What type of journalism is this where wavy tells one side of a story. I know that when a Franklin family lost there home in a fire, they were fed daily for a week in a restaurant owned by the same people. theres much more than meets the eye in this case and telling 1/3 or a story to paint a bad opinion of people is shoddy at best and borders criminalistic behavior of its own.WAVY should be more than ashamed.

Did you see the story on NewsChannel 3, this is happening in others citys. according to them 4 locations where taxes were not paid. they reported last week on the lotto machines. Why arent you talking to my friends who work there?? The workers are the real story.

That's generous of them to help the Franklin family. However when we support some chartiable cause, it does not mean we get out of our other obligations. The sales tax money belongs to the people, not to the merchant. btw, I am the owner of a small business and I must (and do) forward my tax receipts. Heck, I'd LOVE to keep that money in my pocket -- maybe the fact that I give 10% of my own pay to charity should excuse me from sending in my sales tax money?? I don't think so.

I happen to know the Azhars personally, and they are a very poisonous, corrupt people who take sadistic pleasure out of hurting others and living off other people's hard-earned money...it's great that the city has cracked down on their corruption and I hope they get back in full the pain that they've given to others
