Car mechanic rip-off

D&T Autos over in east side has just taken my last dime. I brought my car to them to fix a transmission problem. They assured me they could do the job for $500, and have the car back to me in 3 days. Well, that was last month. After four long weeks of daily phone calls these people called me yesterday and asked me for MORE money to fix the same problem, plus another problem that they had created in the valve body. I told them no, and went to pick up my car today. No refunds or exchanges, they said, so they took over $500 (after taxes) of money that I gave them in good faith, and I got my car back in the same condition that it was in a month ago when I brought it in to them (Minus my radio!) For anyone reading this: DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They are scam artists, and they will suck you dry if you let them.

File a formal complaint with the WFPD. Stay on them.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau and the District Attorney's office. I might also file suit in small claims court for return of the $500 and the value of the radio. You don't need a lawyer. Call Mike Little's office in the courthouse.
