Sounds cute but.....Lockport needs some good places to eat. How about Red Lobster,Olive Garden or Applebees? Not the same old things!

Are these considered 'good' places to eat?!?! My, we've really lowered our standards.:) |

I -get- what she's saying, though. Right now we're stuck with fast food, mediocre pizza, and sub-par greasy spoons in the area. I'm not sure we could support a fine dining establishment in the area, but any of her suggestions would be better than what we've got. |

We need a Gibson's in Lockport. Just think of all the revenue Lockport would get with Drew Peterson's business, since he now has to go all the way Downtown or to Rosemont to have his Gibson's steak. Let Lockport reap the benefits! LOL

What are your standards? They must be better than anyone elses. |

1 I don't think it's fair to judge someone by their preferences in restaurants. Sonic is good, a nice switch from the usual fast food fare. Applebees isn't as good as it used to be and Olive Garden is just a step up from Fazoli's. Friday's is a la carte now and it costs a fortune to eat a complete meal there. Famous Dave's is good for bbq and Red Robin is a gourmet burger place, a bit expensive but worth it. If we have a mix of places to eat there should be something for everyone. Why put all high class places in a predominantly middle class neighborhood? I doubt you will draw the elite from Naperville and Orland Hills to Lockport when they have their own restaurants, and those who can't afford the high prices of some of the resaurants will either stay home or go elsewhere. At least by putting a mix of venues here, we can hope to keep all the revenue in Lockport. Diversity is the key here. |

1 I used to eat Sonics all the time in college. i would love to get one in Lockport so i would never have to leave town on the weekends. like any other restaurant...some like their food some won't. If i remember correctly (it's been 15 years since college) their burgers and shakes were pretty good. |

adam is correct. nice restaurants and even a good hotel will get a lot of people exitng at 159th st. and with some quality commercial on the east side of the highway homer glen would benefit from the tax dollars and jobs. as for dining, i vote for a steakhouse and a Smokey Bones or Sonny's Real Pit Barbeque. oh yea!

1 Culvers is good but Red Robin would be better. The burgers and menu is awesome plus they have a full bar with some good drinks. |
