the district will probably waste the rest of their money fighting this. They just through away money on three Captains who thought everyone else that was promoted before them was a political appointee. Now they are the new political pawns and its ok. these three never made it in the real world, only at fantasy land F.D.

If that is the case your life is gonna be awful short if you put it in the hands of those 3. But learn to spell first you hillbilly. Andy and Jake are 100 percent right, Political appointments have no place on the fire ground. Respest is something ADULTS learn as children. CHILDREN do not belong on the fireground. New Lenox Fire Protection District is the comedy show of the year. I hope the union kicks their ass in court and Fronek, Swanson, Minger,Krohn and the rest get whats coming to them.

4 trustees and a monkey were walking down the street. The head trustee stopped and looked at the other 3 and said, Fellas I want to see how smart this monkey is. What are you going to do, said one of the other trustees? I am going to ask him a question to see what he does said the head trustee. With that the head trustee looked at the monkey and said, hey monkey, would you like a job?
The monkey looked up and to everyones shock said, what kind of job? The head trustee shocked that the monkey could talk said how would you like to be a fire chief. The monkey stood their for a moment and looked at all 4 trustees and said, I don,t think so, when ever you go to the zoo every one likes to go watch the monkeys, who wants to go watch a fire chief? second I am a monkey and thats all I am, if you want a fire chief do what you did before, GO TALK TO A JACKASS.

Yeah, and most know what they are doing, not dreaming about really being a chief. I would never fall asleep in your town. With bubbleheads like you and your chief to protect me.

You stated that you have worked along side these men, they are fine men, and have are respected. Well you seriously know not of what you speak. This isnt jealousy, these are facts and I also pray and fear for you if your willing to put your lives in their hands. fact is they couldnt even run their own shift effectivly, they werenot respected then either. But for the benefit of the doubt, please tell us all when/where you worked ALONG SIDE THESE MEN? Lets get the FACTS out right here right now!!!

This bantering back and forth is making both sides look ridiculous, and is not helping either cause. This juvenile arguing is putting a black eye on our profession. Take your case to the trustees and the voters, because no action is going to come from a forum such as this.

Will the trustees listen? No. Do they give people an open forum in which to ask any question? No. So, we go here, they leave us no choice.

Voters do need to be educated to how their tax dollars are waster, that is true. So, to allon this forum who are complaining about the trustees, the board, etc. do your homework and teach your family/friends/neighbors that this dept. is corrupt beyond compare and needs some major shaking up in order to provide high quality service and make efficient use of the tax dollars provided.

It is making a joke of an honorable profession. Unfortunately, the trustees have been the most unprofessional in their leadership of this whole thing. THey deserve to be gone asap.

Oh how true, the fire chiefs name should be Chim Chim. and his 3 captains are nothing but a couple of squirrel monkeys. Perfect for the department that is run by a bunch of nuts.

This forum (except for questions) is indeed a real black eye to the profession. However it does reflect on this generation of individuals who only care about judging everyone instead of looking inward and checking for their own faults and deficiencies. Our entire is focused on placing blame - no one is willing to stand up and take responsibility.

It makes me think about a time when we were at a fire and a particular POC made an error. The minute we returned to the station he began ranting and raving about what a poor job this one did and how he did not get enough water and on and on about everyone else's performance. He wanted to draw attention away from his own mistake.(which was a big one)

Each and every one of you that are juding the new captians and making accusations against the new chief (again I do not know him) are probably the cry babies making all the mistakes.

I don't care what the trustee's motives were for making Captians. I feel that this was one of their better decisions and they picked qualified individuals who have the wherewithall to refrain from getting involved with the politics. They concentrate on their task at hand - their shift and it's effective operation.

It is sad that the days of POC's are done. I was one and loved every minute of every year. I also was a full time fire department employee. So I have seen both sides and the town is just to big now to continue a POC program. So sad. But get over it, you all have other jobs and wonderful memories, be thankful for that, support the men and women of your deparment and move on.

Hey very kind words, but still fail to answer the question: Where and when did you work along side these "fine respected qualified" men?? Because I can tell you a fact, they are a joke, not respected and not 1 of the tokens could or did have control of their shift, sorry DD but it is true. It also shows the arrogance of the board to hired these 3 and pass up MUCH MUCH better candidates.

Sorry - but I am ANTI Fronek -Krohn and esp. Veerman - get rid of them and you will have the beginning of a better board. As for when I worked with them that is really non of your business. Just like What are your qualifications that you can so arrogantly judge these men??? How can you say they are not respected. They have all my respect as well as my sympathy because they have to deal with negatives just like you. Start checking and cleaning out your closet before you enter someone elses. As far as tokens go - I do not believe that. Name one person more qualified? You??
