I agree with the comment about Arabs. They are all over Burbank and Bridgeveiw..and more and more are still moving in...I don't understand why they pick these two towns

When I was passing down by one of the streets in Burbank closer to Harlem. I saw a big sign that said "WELCOME TO IRAQ AKA. BURBANK". someone had this big sign sitting in the front of their house...I almost drove into a car beside me while reading it and laughing my as* off.

Ihave lived in Burbank for the past 14 years, And don't know what you people are talking about with the Arabs... John from Memphis, you don't live here, why make such comments??? As this community continues to grow, we have a lot to offer our residents. You look at all the townships, and there are always people moving, and houses for sale. Unless you LIVE here, don't put our city down..

Maybe it's because of the rat problem. I moved to Burbank close to three years and ever since i have been calling the police and the health department trying to get rid of the rats that we have in our area. they seam to be doing nothing about it. I even went to the extent to put up 5 rat traps in my alley, back and front yard and have caught 3 rats in a month... I can't stand Burbank.

Bridgeview had a rat problem last year. We're sorry to hear that they all moved to Burbank! Good luck chasing them out to the next suburb over!(er, not Bridgeview, please.)

Far from. The Chicago area across Cicero has basically fallen apart and that influence will continue to move west. Plus there is still PLENTY of white trash living in houses in Burbank.

You guys who are talking down about Burbank are all flipping nuts. I, personally, have never had or seen a rat here. I have seen hawks recently. Does that give a town a trashy reputation? The town is now heavily populated by Polish, we have Arabic, Hispanic and other nationalites and the new homes being built are being sold anywhere from $350k to $595k and up. And, yes, they are filled almost as soon as constuction complete. I bought my home from my great uncle who was one of the original residents, I have lived here for 18 years and my house has more than tripled in value. My taxes are low and I am not a senior citizen. My children received a great education and I can say that because both are nearly grown. We have low crime and safe streets. We are close to shops, restaurants and downtown. We have public transportation and there is never a lack of something to do. What more can you ask for? Lets worry about our own towns and stop bashing Burbank, IL. You people sound more jealous than anything else. If you were truly happy wth your life and where you lived you wouldn't be ranting about my town. I grew up in Palos not Burbank so I have lived elsewhere and am happy to have settled in Burbank. And honestly, for the people who actually live here and are complaining, look around, there are many houses for sale in other suburbs.
