I heard the director of substance abuse say that recently a survey had been given out to graduates of the CLIFF program trying to figure out why 99 of 122 graduates of the program went back to using.

I have met someone who was in the CLIFF program at Westville Correctional Facility and he is now a repeat offender. He was not in for drugs the first time but is back for dealing meth. He has said that everyone he was in the program with he has seen at his current prison or at RDC where all inmates go to get registered. I think that this program has a good intention but they need to see that most inmates are only doing it for the time cut. That is what this offender did as well as many others.

That is my opinion also of the program.. take away the credit time and see how many do the program.

Im sure it has helped a few, we do have some here saying it helped them but how many has it taught to "scam" their way through just one more coping skill in life?

There is absolutely no way this would ever happen to myself OR anyone in my immediate family. My immediate family and myself have a little more intelligence to get involved in that stuff, and since you think the government should help everyone, go ahead and help all the idiots out there that dont deserve it.
First of all you should not say never! It can happen to anyone!!! Nor do you or anyone else have the right to judge people, don't judge a book by it's cover.
For people, like myself, recovering addicts of methamphetamine and a C.L.I.F.F. graduate, I can personally tell everyone that this program is full of life changing experiences and education.
Furthermore anyone who can accept they have a problem and really wants that change in their lives DOES deserve help, even if we had to sink to that level to get it, otherwise some people like me would have wound up dead. Remember that everyone makes mistakes, yes even you!!
