I hope this man does well, although we had long tenured dedicated candidates within the department who weren't given a chance. So, the City Manager, with a FELONY DWI still PENDING in Orange County, has made his decision. I hope he got counsel from sober advisors before making this decision. If Ricky starts using cocaine, he could run for President. That's on Barack's resume.

Still hating on the city manager, huh?

Why so angry? You can tell me, I play a doctor on the internet.

It seems that you are a bit skeptical about the appointment, eh ?

Good question. We would not want to aggravate the Grand Wizard by appointing a bozo, would we ?

Depends on your definition of a bozo.....if you mean a "yes-man" or a "flunkee"....well, he might be easier to manipulate.

Whereas a man with ideas of his own might prove
....disruptive.

At this point about all you can do is watch and wait and see what he'll do.....It might, however, be interesting to find out what the Klan does think -- "get their take on the subject"

Your Police Chief is neither a "flunkee" or "yes
Man".!!!!!! It seems strange to me that just now posts are coming up and the chief has been there since October!???? He runs a tight police department with no bull! You also have our investigator...he and the Chief are excellent
officers....we are sorry that we lost both of them!

Thank you for your input. This is a very positive recommandation. I'm just a little confused, if I might ask a clarfiication on one minor point.

Your post indicates these gentlemen came here from another community -- presumably your own.
Is that correct?

Keep in mind, I have been away for a number of years....so some of my questions are bound to appear rather silly.

Thank you again for your patience and for your help.

Who told you that?

The Klan has been run out of Vidor the past few times they visited, which was a few years ago, if I remember correctly. Now they don't even bother coming around.

Where exactly do you get your information?

Chief Eric Forrester and Detecive Pearson were with our police department here in Colorado City,
Texas. We are a small town of around 4,500 people, increase in salary talks!! I understand that, you cant fault a man for wanting to do
better for himself and his family. Pearson followed Forrester to your town...many times
police officers do that when they have a good communication with their Chief! We have had
Klan meetings north of our town....but nothing
major happened...and I cant tell you if they
still do! Only went out the first time we had
about a Klan rally.

Sound like the man deserves a chance.

BTW....do you think the Klan will rise again?
Seriously, please?

I feel sure you will be pleased with your police department! As for the Klan here...I have no
idea. We dont hear anything about it. Thats our
business...news media.....if something got out of hand, we would hear about it.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Taurus

If you gave up over what happened yesterday, you stand a better chance of sorting things out today. Talking to the person who failed to go for the teamwork may help to get a grip on the situation, especially if you manage to avoid recriminations or accusations. Instead, do your best to be as understanding and compassionate as possible. Or just let it go.
