Since when do you arrest somenone for shooting a intruder with so fast of a investigation that would take many days before being able to reach any conclusion of wrong doing but instead you arrest within minutes? doesnt sound right

Actually it says the SHOOTER is in custody...which would make the homeowner (who shot at the intruder) the one in custody...

The intruder was shot 4X's and flown out to UVA. Seems this has something to do w/the shooters daughter.
If anyone reads the local paper they can read that this has been going on for most of the year. Some 24 yr old dumba55's just don't get the words-STAY AWAY!!!!

The PD have been at the location of the shooting numerous times. Seems a daughter is involved.
All one has to do is watch the news or read the paper to hear about young women "disappearing" or found in a dumpster or on side of the road.
A parent has to do what a parent has to do to protect their children. While I don't condone using a firearm to do it, apparently this young man was warned and put on notice by the PD to stay clear.
Enough said.

I am outraged that a Father is in custody for protecting his daughter. If the parents do not protect their children, then who will? The police? I do not think so. I just can not believe he is in custody. Too bad this is not Texas where citizens can protect their family and property. In Virginia, it seems the criminals have more rights that law abiding citizens.

This area is so Liberal biased that the shooter is automatically at fault for defending themselves. This area is anti-firearm to the point where it's unclear to shoot at anything much less defending onseself.

I live in the area of the shooting. The police have been called to this residence more times than I can remember. I was told there was a no-contact order in place because this young MAN was determined. I feared for children and myself because of all the activity.
It's truly unfortunate this has happened. I pray for the father and the perpetrator involved.

I agree 100%. As long as the article is 100% correct.

I am not in this 5hithole missing my family so our God given right to self defense can be cr apped all over by "Barny Fife and friends"...apparently daughter being stalked by loser who breaks into her home gets stopped (appropriately) by her father - yet he's the one who's ending up going to have to spend thousands of dollars on lawyers! Absolutely absurd!!! Louisa County - you need a new Sheriff!! I hope the Commonwealth's Attorny has some brains and refuses to allow charges.

BTW-even if Dad there is not exactly a pillar of the community, he still has the right to defend his home and family - with lethal force if need be.

There must be more to this story. If the shooting was righteous the man should not be in trouble, which leads me to believe the we don't know all the facts.

Well well I just happen to know the people involved in this. 1st the girls father is one of the dumbest son of a bitches i have ever known! 2nd, it was a bad break up but he was invited over there, and he went and that makes him the second dumbest bastard i know for going! and 3rd it sounds like a cover up to me from what i have heard. so before you all say hurray for the father you should wait for the facts, because the truth will come out.

Doesn't matter if the father is stupid, the daughter is a slut or the stalker is seriously wounded. Bottom line: restaining and no contact orders were in place.
I really don't know if I would have shot the guy if I had been in he father's situation but obviously the father did something the courts and law enforcement couldn't.
Louisa county is over 530 sq. miles, how long to do think it took PD to respond? On a Sat. night no less, with all the other drama going on?
The county had an opportunity to elect a new sheriff; one the actually lives and works in the 21st century. Louisa county is slowly but surely becoming Richmond or New Jack City and most are clueless.

This guy, who people on here are saying is a threat or a would be "murderer", is a very wonderful person. He has been a friend/ pretty much family for years. I pray for his recovery so, he can tell his side of the story and justice can be served. All you people get your judgments from an article and ASSume he is a horrible person. You guys don't even know the WHOLE story! The father is a lunatic, dope smoking, alcoholic and the same goes for the daughter! She called the victim constantly and begged for him to come over. Yes, he shouldn't have gone and if I knew he was going that night I would have yelled at him. But, at the same time, she shouldn't have told and taunted him to come to her house. POINT BLANK....HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SHOT! My prayers go out to him and his wonderful family.

I get it BUT HE DID GO TO HER HOUSE and had in the past while the protective orders were in place!
He is an adult, he knew the consequences. If the father is a lunatic, he knew that too. Good Lord don't people have any self-restraint? The deck was stacked against him.

I know the people also and the father is not insane. I am sure he was there to protect his daughter and it was a good thing too. Why else would this guy park so far away unless he planned on doing something wrong.
