I agree that Lake Land'Or needed a restaurant as it once had but the new Lakeside Inn is a pretty sad excuse. I have tried 3 times to order a meal and 3 times was sadly disappointed.
The first time was a wash because they are closed on Sundays which while inconvenient is not the end of the world and something I don't hold against them, everyone needs a day off.
The second time I tried to order a 3 course meal that came to a total of $14 which I was told was $1 short of the $15 minimum for delivery so they refused to deliver it. I canceled that order.
This bothers me because I think they should have delivered it anyway, and had they I would have been more than happy to slip the driver an extra buck in the $5 tip he would have gotten anyway.
This last time I tried to order again and was going to pick it up but was told it would be at lest 45 minutes for a simple burger and side order. This was after I was left on hold for 5 minutes waiting to place the order. I could drive to the store purchase the food, come home and cook it and be ready to eat in less then 45 minutes.
I will not attempt to use their services again and I recommend the same to others. Do yourself a favor and patronize a place worth spending money in.

My experience was entirely different. I was completely satisfied with everything from the quick delivery (less than 20 mins) to the taste and the size of their portions.
I hope people will give them a chance and create their own opinion. |

I've eaten there a couple of times and was pleased with the food and the service.

It simply takes some patience. it takes awhile for a new business to become established. No duh
right? |

Have been there for dinner and just plain socializing and all have pleasant experiences. The food is great, prices very good, and enjoyable atmosphere. No matter what, there are always doom sayers, so ignore them and enjoy a good place to relax close to home.

Is the Lakeside Inn just for people who live in the lake? I am new to the area, though I do not live in the lake, have heard about the Lakeside Inn, however wondering are non-property owners allowed to the restaurant?

I know they will deliver to people outside the lake community in the general area.
I think if you stop at the gate and tell them you are going to the Inn they will give you a temp guest pass allowing you in. The Lakeside Inn is NOT part of the LLPOA or a community amenity it's an independent business, I don't see why going to visit them is any different than going to visit a resident. |
