Its raining here in NE Ark. We shure needed the rain. Ive been watering the garden & flowers and they have done pretty good. maybe this rain will reduce the fire danger and make the pasture & hay grow.

did the hummer population improve there? I have several coming here now (east TN) At least I hope its several, I know there is a male & a female involved. they have started to get agressive at the feeder so they are stating to bulk up for the flight home, I didnt see any that I thought were babies this year. With all the bad weather on the gulf & lower states there is no doubt there is less & less of them each year. It's not an expensive or time consuming thing to put out a feeder. I would hope some more people would help. I know I would appreciate it.

We had plenty of barn swallows a pheobe nest in mud nest around the house & outbuildings. We have a bluebird on its second batch of babies this year. I havent seen the roadrunner in a spell. the wild turkeys are in decline. Its still drizzling outside.

ROMEO report from Pangburn: Still have two hummers, was four but 2 got run off. Wife and I saw 16 turkeys (4 adults) just walking around in our hayfield across the road last week. Got another good rain yesterday, that's three in a week. It DOES rain on the good and the bad. ROMEO = Really Old Men Eating Out. See y'all at Hardee's.

Looks like two baby hummers this year,I think that's better than last year. Hey Army. If I had a motorcycle I'd give it to you. I drive like I walk, all over the place.

I see some old lady did the ancestry on Obama. The one she didn't mention was Capt James T Kirk of the starship USS Enterprise, Afraid they would start up the birth certificate thing again.

A big old stinking billy goat showed up here yesterday, asked my neighbor if it was his and he said why would I think it was his. Told him I noticed the family resemblence. Don't think he'll sell me any more beer on Sundays.
