The Dunkin Donuts sign is in the window near the Wegmans. I have seen workmen in there and it looks like they are making progress. No need to hit Manassas for your coffee and donuts : )

There's a new Walmart Supercenter at Manassas Mall?? I guess I need to check out Manassas more often. Does that mean they'll be closing the Walmart at Balls Ford/234?

What is happening in regards tot he 500,000 sqft retail on the other side of the Virginia Gateway? I do no see anything happening. Is it scrapped since the housing market slowed down?

I feel the same way.. That parking lot has got to be the worst planned lot in all of Manassas. Glad WM is gone!

There is indeed. I will say that it is the nicest Wal-Mart I've ever been in, and, oddly, at times, it looks almost like a Costco. It's still a Wal-Mart, but it's spacious and has a good-sized grocery, probably a tad bigger than the Super Target. Not bad...

I inquired about retail space there. They have put the project on hold until the market gets better, possibly in 2010 or 2011.

Note that the site says construction is underway and the grand opening will be in 2009.

I noticed today that the Shoppes at Lake Manassas are no longer on Stanberry's site as a project. That is disappointing!

Actually, if you click the map in the lower right corner, it still has Gainesville as a new project, just not in development. I know they had quite a few LOI's, hope they don't throw all that away.

Over the past few weeks they have removed every mention of Lake Manassas on their site, minus the one dot on the map. Looks like the project is off.

I just wrote the company and asked them the status of the project. I am going to be disappointed if they scrap it all together.
