Very nice place -- loved the raw bar (especially since it was non-smoking). They even shuck the oysters for you -- great if you want to keep yourself (and your date) nice & clean. The oysters were fantastic -- great atmosphere -- and food is reasonably priced. I also had a salad (I think Greek) that was huge & loaded! This place is awesome.

Is this new place in the same building that Fire Mountain use to be in? I know when I left Jacksonville this summer the people who own Mai'ti were planning a seafood place there but it had not opened yet.
God, I miss Mai'ti.......

My husbans & I and another couple ate at Tony's today. The seafood was excellent. We had Seafood Feast For Two. Everything was outstanding! We liked the crab cakes best of all. I normally don't care for crabcakes but I loved these. And if you've had a bad experience with service next time ask for Marie. She really knows how to treat you. I give Tony's a 5 star rating and we love Mat'ti too!

usually have had good food there, must have had new or tired Chef. Had a male waiter today that never came to the table. We had dishes stacked while eating(4 of us) no offer to fill empty cups. Lobster tales were raw. Never offered salads that came with meal had to ask for them. Food was not hot. NOT worth the prices, can only rave about clam chowder we had on a previous visit..

prices please !!! If we go out I prefer to pay high price for a meal at Golden Corral (the one infront of camp lejeune is excellent) since you can eat a good variety of foods, including shrimp, sorry but when you have a large family you have to make your money worth.

Tony's is such a great place; they offer something for everyone and even have a children's menu. They catered my wedding last Sept. (They just made the food, we picked it up) for $10 a person, we had chicken fettuccine Alfredo, hush puppies, fried shrimp, bay sea scallops, Cole slaw, and more. I have met here to hold a bachelorette dinner, baby shower dinner, birthdays, and just to grab an appetizer and drinks with the girls after work. I love all their food and recommend this establishment to anyone no matter the occasion.

I have to say worst resturant in Jacksonville, not worth the money you pay. The service was very poor and manor was unprofessional. You had a long extended wait while they were unbusy and the food was also less than par. The live music was to loud to enjoy and could not conversate.

So my husband and I were in Jacksonville, NC visiting my brother who just came home from Iraq. After being in the "ville" for almost a week we found Tony's. After eating at every corporate restaurant in town Tony's was a breathe of fresh air, with real food. The Hostess had their hustle with wall to wall people in the front. I even heard a lady complain about the prices. She said it wasn't worth the wait and the girls were ridiculous, and she said this to some 18 year old hostess' face. Although she made quite the scene, we continued to wait. We're used to this on a Friday, we're from NY. The server had a big smile on her face, greeted us, introduced herself and apologized for the wait, and promised us it was worth it. She recommended the Ahi Tuna, and the Teriyaki Combo. Most of our party had the fried combos but My husband and I took her recommendations. It was awesome. The rice was chinese fried rice ((yummo)) the tuna melted in my mouth lke butter. Perfect. It was awesome the drinks were cheap and strong. There was a saxophone player who blew us away! Our bill had a 18% grat added because of the number of people in our party... No complaints from us we tipped her on top of the grat. Everytime we go to NC from now on we're going to Tony's. I don't know what wrong with people from NC or Jacksonville at least. So rude. Whatever happened to southern hospitality? People in NY might be a little cold, but we have manners, and would never take out our finacial problems on some adolescent girl, probably making min wage.... We tipped the hostess too by the way. She really kept it together. Kudos to The crew at Tony's

My husband and i are from Jville..thank God Tonys is here ! We no longer have to travel to the beach to get fresh ,reasonably priced seafood (and much more)..The seafood is probably the best weve ever had!Our drinks from the bar were excellent.not to mention the hushpuppies that are brought to ur table..We had the Ahi Tuna for an appetiaer ..Excelllent! Our entrees were the 2 and 3 choice fried seafood platter which comes with 2 sides. The shrimp and oysters are the best weve found in Jville! Our waitress, a blonde with black glasses was so gracious and polite who provided excellent service, made our experience a treat!Theres a jazz player who sets the ambiance in a beautiful building..All the staff are great as well ...Well be regulars as long as tonys is here!

Love the resteraunt, but am bugged by the christmas wreath hanging in the faux fireplace. Also the portions on the adult chicken fingers is not consistant.

As we are a Military town...you can best bet that the rude customer you spoke about may or may not have been from here or even the south. We do have manners and take offense when you condem the whole south just because of one rude customer in a community of many. "IF" that person was truly a southerner...the rest of us apologize for them.

My husband and I ate at Tony's this evening. It was about 5:30 on a saturday night. we went right in, no waiting. My $6.00 Hurricane drink (one of there specials) was like watered down juice. It was supposed to have 2 kinds of rum, I couldn't tell it had any alcohol in it at all. We shared the oysters rockafeller as an appetizer. the oysters were raw and snotty! this dish is supposed to be baked and bubbly hot. My main course, the salmon, was pretty bland and it definately needed to be cooked a few more minutes. The rice was tasty, but could have used salt. My husband got the Tony's Plate appetizer for his main dish. The portion was huge, but it was all fairly bland. The hushpuppies were very good! We told the waitress that the Oysters were uncooked and we didn't want them. She did offer to cook them more, but we were turned off by the rawness of the dish. When the bill came, they included the oyster rockafeller on the bill. We asked to have it removed, and the waitress stated that "she" said you ate 2 of them.(there are 4 in the dish) yes, we each took one and stopped! She went back and got it removed from the check. that is not a good way to get a customer to return to your establishment and we certainly do not expect that we will return. Over all: bland, under cooked food, watered down drinks (including the ice tea) and way over priced for the quality. The place was nicely renovated though.

I took out some clients to Tony’s Seafood in Jacksonville, NC on Western Blvd…
I would have to say I was very disappointed with the seafood. It was like eating seafood with grease. I assume the grease was re-used to many times. I even complained to the waiter, and she even agreed that sometime it was over cooked in grease. I will never eat there again; we didn’t even eat near half our food. The waited could care less about how greasy it was nasty. I would not ever recommend eating at Tony’s Seafood. I would have to agree with other customers, the worst food in Jacksonville, NC

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Leo

Your sunny temperament has returned, dear Leo, as the Sun and Venus dance in Sagittarius and the marvellous Moon shines in your sign. Whatever the day has to offer, it should bring you some pleasure and laughter, so arrange something nice if you don't have anything planned. Your power to charm is considerable right now and it will make you a big hit with whoever gets the full force of it. But don't give someone the come-on if you don't mean it.
