Teen Faces Charges in Fatal Wreck

A teen driver who survived an accident that killed his two friends Tuesday afternoon will face vehicular homicide charges, Gwinnett County police announced Wednesday.

My heart aches for the parents who lost their sons in this accident. Having lost my own son to a terrible accident, I know how devastated they are. I have also known the young driver and his family for many years, and I can only imagine how terrible they feel as well. Jonathan is a good boy. He certainly did not intend for any harm to come to his friends, and I hope that the affected families and the community will find it in their hearts to forgive him for this terrible accident. In times like these, we can only pray to our God for the strength to carry on.

I have known John Peck for many years. He was a very good friend of my late grandson, Jamie Mobley who was killed 2 years ago. They lived on the same street. I hope people will forgive John as he is a good person and I do not feel he would intentionally have done anything to have caused this accident. Please pray for the other two families as we certainly feel their loss, and pray for John and his family. Only time can heal this terrible pain for all involved with God's help.
