People like this woman disgust me.
While I'm not a huge fan of the overzealous capitalism in the United States, I'm certainly no fan of dishonest people stealing from others.

Sure, we'd all like that kind of money in our accounts.

I hope she is penalized to the fullest extent of the law.

It makes me shudder that a Company like Makita , or indeed any company hasn't mechanisms in place to identify this kind of theft earlier. Did this woman steal all the cash at once or over the 20 years she was employed? Unfortunately there are a few dishonest folk around who will exploit the system and steal from their employers. Large companies are not the only ones, I know of a small company in Gainesville who's staff have stolen toilet tissue!!, purchased monthly magazines and had the company pay the bill, and even put family members on the health insurance. I now live in the UK having lived in the US for a number of years, I work for a large Bank, even we are not immune with now ex staff taking advantage of open loop holes, not stealing cash, but taking advantage of the Companies charity system. Theft is a common problem, as long as we have greedy people in this world, someone else has to pay the price once they end up in prison.

What drew you to the UK?
I haven't done enough travelling to make an educated choice on where I'd want to dwell. But I'm looking.........

I'm originally a UK Citizen, working for an International bank I was asked to go to the US (Rhode Island)to work for a while. Alas the UK beckoned and back we came. If you are looking for another Country to live in for a while, I would have to honestly NOT recommend the United Kingdom. We have a weak Government who are increasingly becoming a puppet of the EU in Brussels; our Mr Brown (unelected Prime Minister)has given away our Sovereign rights to make most laws, we are inundated with the PC brigade and cannot extradite or expel illgegals or terrorists because it is against their Human Rights..what about ours..I know that the US isn't perfect, but you still have a constitution that allows you to defend yourself and your property, if I forcibly stopped someone breaking into my home he or she could sue me! for damages!!!or personal injury, where's my rights. No seriously friend, stay in the US, I think Ga is a great State.
